Yes, I can hear the fans running, but I will have to open the panels to verify everything else. The thermostat shows cools and I have programmed it for the temperature to hit 70F. But the temperature does not go below 79F. Does these kind air conditioning have internal fuse? My apartment lights blinked yesterday and I notice that after that the air conditioning stopped working properly. I pressed the "Reset" button on the digital Thermostat which displays "cooling" but it acutally does not! Thanks for the fast post

If you feel the fan running specially the fan thats outside, that means the thermostat is sending the signal for cooling, if your compressor fails, what it will do it will get very hot!!! to the point that it will shut its self off, for safety, (Internal overload)my recomendation is, turn the power off, take one panel off, and touch the top of the compressor, that will tell you if has try to start or not. if its hot, leave it off for a day, then go back and turn the power on, it will try to start.

Brand New 2 weeks old 4 ton Trane compressor leaks a lot of water onto pad

If the unit is running in cold weather than there is ice building up on the coils located outside. This is normal in that the unit is running in heat pump mode heating inside and cooling outside, After the unit detects the ice build up it briefly reverses the cycle heating the outside coils melting(defrosting) the ice which you observe as water on the pad.

The video gives you an example of the defrost cycle!

Our American Standard Allegiance 13 A/C is less than 2 years old and we are getting cool air from our ducts but not cold air. What can be done to fix this?

it sounds like (1) your air filter needs to be replaced or cleaned, (2) your a/c system has a small leak that needs to be repaired by a certified a/c tech

My air condition blocks some ice in the system, causing not enough cool provide.

Water leak /Icing in your evaporator is the common problem in split airconditioners.. It happens due to:

1. Air filter block 2. Evaporator coil Block. 3. Less rpm of blower motor. 4.Drain line blocked.

To rectify, service the unit completely. If blower motor less rpm, replacemotor capacitor.

DeLonghi Pinguino PAC CT90 It is less than a year has quit coolin

Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.

Noisy unit, not cooling well, water drip from air intake

First please check the air filter and clean it and refix it.
Please check the refrigerent level next if it continues. Refrigerent leak will result in poor cooling and enhance the noise level.
The compressor could be defective and might take high power to run and only replacement of the compressor could improve the working condition.
In case the unit is more than 5 years old it is wise to replace it with a new unit and save your power bill.

No cool air and oil in one of the drain lines

I would say that you have a refrigerant leak. The oil was pulled out of the compressor and leaked out with the refrigerant.

Help!! No cooling, just fan!!!

you probably have a defective contactor or start capacitor on condensing unit. if you pretty handy with wiring go to the condensing section open the panel. you should see a contactor (it's the little black piece with all the wires) check the condition of it. next to it is a capacitor and by the problem that you describe it could be that. check it if it looks bloated there's your problem just go an get an combination capacitor and wire up. (make sure the power to unit is off first. any other questions email me @ hvac.tech7872pr@gmail.com
