Service Manual (pg 25):
"......Chorus control must be off...... Labels denoting key and note numbers appear on all tone generator chassis adjacent to the tuning coils. Select the proper pitch tibia tab (16,8 or4) and sound the notes as you tune...... The note must be made sharper than normal pitch (loosening the nut). Then gradually flatten until it is brought into tune. Should the proper pitch be passed and the note is made slightly flat, it must again be made sharp and then flattened until it is in tune. Never make a final tuning adjustment of a note by raising the Pitch......To tune the pedals, depress a 16' tab and sound the pedals,.....if the range of the control is too short, the master tuning control (covered with tape) may have to be adjusted."
I have tuned both my Conn 580 and552 using the aboveprocedure and a relatively inexpensive ($40) Chromatic scale tuner with good results and it is quite easy and fast. The bass tuners are almost on the floor under the leslie and you will likely need a flashlight. Note that if all bass notes are out of tune in the same direction and by the same amount, the only adjustment necessary might be the master tuning control which I think I remember is in the center of the bass tuners. Make sure that you locate the master tune control before startinganybass adjustments. Basses should be adjusted lowest note first and then up the scale.
It's not difficult and you will have a very nice instrument. I believe the only 3 keyboard spinet ever made. (Those little abbreviated keyboards on some Wurlitzers and Yamaha's don't count.) And you will probably notice that it sounds much fuller than most if not all spinets. I hope you keep it and enjoy!
