There actually IS a way to use your own MP3s as ringtones. You will need Web Access from Alltel, which costs $1.99 per day or $5.99 for a month. I put up a step-by-step guide to successfully using MP3s as ringtones on my blog: http://blog.edirectories.info/2008/09/add-mp3-ringtones-scoop-ax260/

Datapilot will work, you have to use data pilot ringtone usb cables to insert the ringtones in mp3 format in the phones memory itself, use can't have ringtones on the sd micro card, the phone only see's full versions of songs on the card and puts them in the music file.,buy datapilot for 79.00 and you will beable to get alot of different data cables for your phones and some of your friends if you need to charge them to do there phones,it will pay for it self, you get a years worth of update software for the datapilot and new version phones.

My LG 600g won't let other people send me ringtones, or music, i get them, but then not be able to do anything with them, not listen to them, not move them to other places on my phone, or even use them as...

The problem is the LG600g uses .mid and .amr format files, so anything in mp3 won't play on it.
This really should be noted on the website (tracfone or net10's), but its not.

Here are some instructions for making real music ringtones (though the quality isn't great): http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/09/07/create-free-ringtones-for-your-lg-600g/
So for cropping songs I recommend following their instructions and you can use the converter listed there or use this one http://www.miksoft.net/mobileAMRconverter.htm for a conversion that sounds a little better.

The lg phone ux830 rings very quiet at first then gets louder after about 2 seconds, how can i make the ringtone loud from the start?

I transferred music to my LG830, and I would like to make some songs caller IDs. I can't seem to find any of my music in the "my audio" folder, though it is in the music section.

I have a zte c79 cellphone that has an mp3. player the phone came without the software disk to install the program that enables me to transfer mp3's and pictures. however it came with the USB cord. but...

when you plug in the usb cord somtimes i'll get a box asking what i want to use windows media player or open a folder with the contense. Then some times i get the add new hardware wizard which doesnot find the program to run the hardware correctly.
so the only way i found to load mp3s onto the ZTE C79 is to get a micro sd car and reader. when i plug i in a box comes up with the same results windows media player or a folder option i click the folder option. and if you have mp3s in your windows media player then right click on a song and open file location it will then tell you wether they are mp3 format or wahat drag and drop the mp3 format songs into the my music folder which is in the removable disk folder . As long as they are mp3 they will play on the phone. as for ringtones the only way i found to load them is to actually record them with the record memo tool in tools. which sucks because they usually end up being all distorted or very low volume. So if anyone know how to load ringtones please let me know

How do i transfer music from my computer into my lg vantage

I don't know what LG does, but my poor man's file transfer for my motorola was to format the micro SD card so it created my music folder, then I dragged mp3 files to that folder and inserted the memory into my cell.

I see that the Vantage has provisions for a micro SD, so I guess you can do the same. I grabbed a 512 MB with adapter for $8 at the local general store.

LG scoop phone

ok well first of all you gotta have a memory card well ok you have to had music sent to you from some one elses phone then save it as whatever you want. then you need to send it to yourself in a text message and when you do that dowload it back and save it as the same thing except you need to add a number to the end like 1 or 2 it dont matter well then you need to go to your audios and copy the song you want to the phone then you need to go to your shuffle and click add song then you should be able to add whatever song you did this too already if you have any questions text me at 903-285-2185

How do I down load mp3 music to my LG Viewty mobile

Hello patprice16,

There are several possible answers to this question. First, and foremost, would be mp3 files from your computer. In order to do this you will need a Data Cable and, perhaps, some software. This is usually called a 'Media Kit' and is available from your service provider (Verizon, AT&T, etc.). Your phone may have come with this kit already depending on which provider you use. If you look through the items you rec'd with your phone you may see a USB cable that connects on one end to your phone and on the other end to your computer. There is probably a software disk also included if you have this cable. If you have neither you need to contact your service provider and get them in order to transfer mp3 files to your phone. The second way would be to purchase the files through your service provider and download them to your phone through the provider's network. This, obviously, gets rather expensive.

Hope that helps :)
