1st- left click the [-] sign and the directory\folders will collapse ( (close up)
2nd- look down directory\folders to find CONTROL PANEL
enter or left click folder, on the right u should see icons .
If any of the icons are missing....u have deleted the icon to do what u need to do....

Do a system restore. Go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore. Pick a day before you started messing around with it.(just kidding) Pick a day back when you still had everything you needed and look for a restore point. Have it do a system restore. After it gets done you should be ok. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If not, DON'T rate yet just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.

P.S.- If it solves it, but you still need to resolve the running slow issue, post the request right to me and I'll get you running like new. Take care.

Facebook is running to slow

Hi,

If when you view facebook it is slow to respond to your actions, go between pages etc this can be caused be any number of issues.

1) The facebook website is overloaded(to many visitors) and is running slow. There is really nothing you can do about this other than to voice your frustration at Facebook by contacting them. You will have to wait and try again at another time to see if it is running faster.

2) Your internet connection is experiencing high latency. You can check your internet connection by trying other websites. Are they going slow as well? If not, then you can really rule this problem out. If you do however experience slowness at other sites then you may be experiencing a degraded internet connection. I recommend a couple tips at this point,

--If you are downloading files from the internet, or have other computers or devices using your internet connection this can use up all your bandwidth and slow down your connection. Try disabling any other devices on your network to see if this helps. If you have a wireless home network and it is unsecured(no password set on wireless connection) then other people like neighbors may be using your connection. You will need to set a password on your router.

-Try to power cycle all of your network devices. Do it in this order - Turn off your internet modem, router and computer. After 10 seconds turn on your modem, after another 30 seconds turn on your router and after 30 seconds turn on your computer. Now try and see if your internet connection is improved.

-Check network cables and splitters. Make sure all of your cables are plugged in and firmly. If you have cable splitters, go ahead and unscrew the cables and screw them back in firmly.

-Lastly, contact your Internet Service Provider(ISP). Your ISP may be able to resolve the issue on their end or send a tech out to investigate the degraded internet connection.

3)Your computer may have performance issues. If a lot of programs are running on your computer this will obviously slow things down. Try stopping any additional programs and see if this helps.

Regards,
G33k

Home page is slow to come up, and computer is slow when changing programs.

There are lots of things you can do to help your computer to run faster. 1. Use the tools in Internet explorer to clear out your temporary internet files. 2. Use Disk Cleanup in system tools to clear old files. 3. Go to control panel, add/remove programs and uninstall any programs you no longer use or want. 4. Download a free registry scanner and run it regularly. 5. Run the Disk Defragmenter in system tools from time to time. 6.(For advanced users) Use the msconfig program to remove unwanted startup programs. I hope that these things help you.

Youtube Buffering is so slow

There could be a wide variety of reasons for slow buffering times.
1) Your area could have alot of people on youtube at the same time, causing the local servers to be overloaded.
2) You could have slow internet capabilities with your current internet service provider.
3) You may be using an out-dated web browser, or have too many plug-ins installed.
4) You may not have sufficient ram on your computer.
I would recommend using a browser such as the latest version of google chrome for fast speeds watching flash, and you could try certain software to speed up your video watching speeds, such as http://www.videoaccelerator.com/. And you may want to check out that your internet service provider is giving you good download speeds.
I hope that helps!

I am a new Home Max customer and I have followed the instructions to connect my Live box to my PC. My laptop is working nicely wirelessly but my PC is not. The problem is that Internet Explorer keeps...

Reinstall the Internet Explorer, that will help.
U can reinstall Internet Explorer by clicking on start, control panel, add/remove programs, add/remove windows components, remove a checkmark next to Internet Explorer.
Then restart the computer.
Again go to start, control panel, add/remove programs, add/remove windows components, put a checkmark next to Internet Explorer.
Then apply, ok and again restart the computer.
Try to connect to internet and then check.
It will not close again.
Its possible that something might have been downloaded accidently and that is interfering with the internet.
It should work.
Otherwise, go to start, run, msconfig, startup, disable all, apply, ok and he restart the computer.
It will block some programs that may interfere with ur Wireless Internet Access.
It will work.
