You need to be more specific:

1) What type/model of PC
2) What hardware configuration
3) Which operating system

4) What are the symptoms, i.e.

how far does it get within the power up / re-boot process ?

maybe it could be a frayed/broken wire leading to the visual/sound parts. if not then bring it to tech support and have them look at it

My 1994 nissan altima dash lights dim and paking lights dim when i press on the brake pedal. doesn't matter if the car is off or on. loosing my mind whats left of it. please help.

Gday ate, geoff here, well it would seem that the brake lights are trying to earth through the park light system as they are in the same socket in the rear, check the earths from the light pack at the rear, and the then go from there tracing the earth circut even to the point of cleaning rust, mould/moss from them, geoff.

I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe and the hazards come on when I use my left turn signal occasionally. The right turn signal works fine.

hi.

i am not sure if you mean your hazard lights actually come on, or if all 4 indicators come on at the same time.
hazards coming on would suggest a fault in the indicator switch, or a short in the wiring.

all 4 indicators coming on, would suggest a bad earth connection on the rear left side of the vehicle. this is far more likely, and can be cured by tracing the earth wire to teh body of the car, and check for loose, damaged wires, or corrosion at the earth point on the body.

easy way to tell, is to switch on the tail lights at the same time. if these get brighter and dimmer in time with the indicators, it is almost certainly an earth fault.

hope this helps

When booting desktop doesn't load

There are a couple of quick fixes you can do.

First, boot into Safe Mode (Repeatedly tap the F8 key while the system is booting, before the windows logo appears) A Menu will pop up, press Boot Into Safe Mode. From there you can try a System Restore to a known good date.

System Restore - Click Start -> Control Panel -> On the top right, type "System Restore" without the quotes. Click on "Restore system files and settings from a restore point". You can choose the recommended restore or a specific date.

The other option is to boot into "Last Known Good Configuration". To do this, use the F8 trick again while booting, but instead of Safe Mode choose "Last Known Good Configuration".

Please note that either of these run a risk of some data being lost from the time the restore point was made. You "shouldn't" lose anything but just want to make you aware.

If this helps please give a good rating. Thanks.

Rear wiper motor earthing point

You have already solved your problem. Connect the two ground points with good flexible wire and tie it up with plastic ties so that it is out of the way and near a hinge so that there is minimal movement. The original scheme probably relied on conduction through the hinges for grounding.
