Question about HP PSC 1610v All-in-One Printer

1 Answer

Every other line prints only bottom half of text.

My HP 1610v print only the bottom half of a text line, and the next line is ok. It doesn't matter if I am trying to print e-mail or something from the web. Help!

I have the 6210 and it's doing the same thing.  Mac osX Leopard, latest updates, office 2008.

exact same problem. I have tried searching google, using every phrasing possible, but the only things that come up are problems with no solutions. :/

Same problem here - PSC 1610v on WinXP 32 bit.

Some lines only have upper portion of letters pprinted.

Problem is repeatable by printing a standard windows test page.

Gaps seem to appear in the same places each time.

In every few lines of text, the top portion of the text is cut off. I have an HP PSC 1610 all-in-one. It's out of warranty so HP refuses to offer me help without paying. I am stuck. Does anyone have a solution yet?

BTW, I am running on a Mac with OSX 10.5.6, but I notice that this has been happening throughout most of the past year, regardless of system software updates.

I have a psc 2355 printer which only prints half of text then the next lines are ok then it repeats only printing half text. I removed my ink cartridge and wiped the ink ports with a tissue heavily moisten with water. Repeated this several times and then gently dried with a tissue. The problem was fixed!!

Try another cartridge as it sounds like your drum is bad. If you measure the distance between the start of two sets of print I can tell you exactly what is wrong.

Bottom of page is cut off sometimes printing from vista computer

Hi- I'll try to solve this.

Go to the start menu and open the Control Panel. Double click on Printers. Right click the L7580 printer and choose "Printing Preferences" On the preferences window click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure "Advanced Printing Features" is set to "Enabled" Under "Printer Features" turn "Minimize Margins" to "On"

This should solve the issue. If minimize margins is off, it will cut it off at the bottom.

Red text and lines appear in Black text

The red line is indicating a HYPERLINK to the email address of the user name, or other linked text in the Email.

If you are printing a program, you will not be printing anything with a hyperlink, so that should not be an issue.

HP psc 2175 skips when "copy"

replace the black print cartridge. I guess that the text is B&W. Pictures are printed in color - from the color ink cartridge.
