Question about Vivendi Jumpstart Spanish (72019) for PC, Mac

1 Answer

JumpStart Spanish from Knowledge Adventure asks me to install Quicktime before the program will start. I've done that on 2 seperate computers, but the problem persists. I can't even get the program to start without the above message asking me to install Quicktime and try again. Any thoughts?

You have to install QuickTime in order to run your Jumpstart CD.

You can download and install QuickTime (use the free version) depending on your Operating System @ http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Hope it helps.

This is a game created for Windows 95/98. How do I run it in Windows Vista?

By default it should work, but some games would need you to change its compatibility. After you install it, right click the shortcut on the desktop and go to properties. After that click the compatibility tab, then check the box for 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:" And pick WIndows 95 or 98.

How do I delete user names from Knowledge Adventure Jumpstart First Grade?

I had this same problem. Tried uninstalling, deleting everything, restarting, and reinstalling, and still the names were there! I finally found this on Knowledge Adventure.

Recommendations:

· JumpStart: Most of the JumpStart programs have a keystroke combination like CTRL+D+D to delete one user at a time from the sign in screen. See the manual for more information regarding the software. Other JumpStart programs have a delete button directly on the sign in screen.

For me CTRL+D+D didn't work, but I tried CTRL+Delete, and it did. Phew!

Can't figure out how to download "jumpstart" on Mac. Won't open .exe files when I try to run.

.exe files are PC files. The only way to get the program running is to setup BootCamp with XP or Windows 7

OR you can use a program like Parallels

Hope this info helps!
