Hello again, i was wondering if and where did you post the instructions on how to get rid of the internal short in the blue crt that the repair man told me was going bad, and also my question is i found a place that will rebuild my bad crt and they need me to ship them my old one first so i guess they can rebuild it , is it possible to remove the blue crt myself or do i need a repair man to do it.? And if i can do it myself can you post how to? thanks again
Check the info from this website on how to remove shorts from CRTs. This is not a DIY for sure.
The CRT you can remove it yourself, just be very careful when removing the high voltage wire that is connected from the HV trippler to the CRT anode. The CRT anode cable stays with the CRT.
Good Luck.
