Question about Eureka Whirlwind 4388 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
Hi this is a very common problem and its not easy to fix unless you know something about electrics, first of all have you checked and changed the fuse in the plug,
if you have then the problem is going to be at the vac end, you see where the wire goes into the vac well just inside their thats where you problem is you need to open the vac and get to the part that the mains lead is screwed into then you need to unscrew the connectors for the live and the earth wire you then need to cut the cable back about 6 inches and then you need to bare the wires back so you can refit them inside the vac you then need to refit them so their secure and put your vac back together and it should now be working.
this is not an easy job to do and its not for the faint hearted if you have never done anything like this before then dont bother as you could cause harm to yourself and others around you as their is a big risk of electric shock if you get it wrong.
now let me explain whats gone wrong, you know every time you use the vac you move it about and the wire is always moving now where the wire goes into the vac it starts to fray and then it splits and you lose connection then the vac starts playing up so this is why you cut 6 inches off the cable to get rid of the bad bit of cable.
if you are unsure what you are doing then the chances are you shouldnt be doing it, you are messing with something that could cause harm to you and others around you so you have been warned
plz rate this solution as i will not respond to any unrated posts, thanks
