You need to adjust the range of your graph. On the graph menu press range then enter the values of x and y. Set Xmin to -4 and Xmax to 60, and ymin to 2.5 and ymax to 3.5. IThis should adjust it properly, as you say.

Happy Calculating

Exactly what happens when you press the Graph button? Do you get an error message?

Can you define what you mean by a "diagonal sine function"?

Just open the Y= editor, and type in the two functions, one on each line. Make sure that the = signs remain highlighted when you move cursor on some other lines (Y3, or Y4).

Then open the Window utility and set Xmin=0

After graphs are drawn you can use the CALC utility to find the Intersection of the two lines.

Use the (-) key located just to the right of the decimal point key to enter the negative sign, not the - key located to the right of the 6 key.

I use one of the graphing APPS or do through a program. I have a users manual for TI 84 silver Edition that shows you how to archive\ unarchive to run programs here at this site. Usually, I tell people to just forget about the programs and use the simple concepts so, that they could operate their calculator better. But, if you notice in those program are actually more powerful than the programs you get on the web, because I wrote them to be flawless, or I only used programs that I knew would not clash and were very well written. Won't y1=(2/5)x-(11/5) and -3x+8 work?

y1=(2/5)x-(11/5) and -3x+8

y1=(2/5)x-(11/5) and -3x+8

i think there are programs but with something as simple as that you should be able to work it out manually....

3x+25-5x=5x-5x

-2x+25-25=0-25

-2x=-25

x=25/2 or 12.5

3x+25-5x=5x-5x

-2x+25-25=0-25

-2x=-25

x=25/2 or 12.5

This is probably because you have the stat plot on. You would need to go to y= and then go to the top where it says stat plot 1 and un highlight it if it is highligted. That should fix your problem.

If either error occurs when trying to graph a function (not a STAT PLOT), the error can be corrected by turning off the STAT PLOTS. The following steps will turn the STAT PLOTS off, allowing the graph of the function to be displayed.• Press [2nd] [Y=] to access the STAT PLOTS menu.

• Select 4: PlotsOff.

• Press [ENTER].

• Try graphing a function like y = x^4-3x^3+6x-1

• Select 4: PlotsOff.

• Press [ENTER].

• Try graphing a function like y = x^4-3x^3+6x-1
