There isn't an On / Off button on this machine. Nor could I follow your subsequent advice. Sorry. However I tried something else and in my manual and the clock is now working. That's Life.

Thanks for the clarifcation. In the event I found my manual and this gave greater detail than the basic information card. Hence the advice from FixYa wasn't really very helpful and was received too late. But thanks for your efforts to try to help.

    Regards, Alan

Yes but too late. Microwave now cleaned and working satisfactorily. Maybe for another year or so.
If it gives trouble again then I'll get a new machine.
    Thanks. Alan

This has happened due to an internal failure, or either the Main Micro controller board, or the Magnetron and/or the High voltage section of the unit.
The EE, Electronic Error, error, as opposed to a Hardware Error such as say a Door Switch etc, this indicates that you need to have it Ahem, "Serviced".
However with the age of the Unit, the Type of unit, it's my professional opinion that it is NOT an economic repair, and any monies that would have been put towards repair, would be better spent, put towards a new unit, with a Warranty.

what this E E cord indicate on the screen tells that there have been a wrong(error) setting on the programming.

however, what you are to do to solve the problem of the cooker is to apply the below instruction.

Fill the insert of the microwave slow cooker with food and cover it with the lid. At least a quarter of the insert should be filled with liquid to keep the environment moist during long cooking times.

Press the "On/Off" button on the left side of the electronic control panel in the front of the appliance. This will turn on the slow cooker to the low heat "Warm" setting.

Press the "Cook Time" button on the right side of the electronic control panel to add hours to the timer which will show a total time in hours with a red digital display. Continue to press the button until the display indicates the desired cook time in one-hour increments up to 10 hours. The cooker will automatically adjust the temperature setting based on the amount of time you programmed on the timer. Cooking times of six hours or less automatically start on "High" heat and times of seven hours or more will start on "Low" heat. A small indicator light will come on below the word to tell you the cooking temperature.
hope this help?.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

I have a Samsung household microwave oven model # SMH8165ST that when plugged in will beep a few times then blink "SE". None of the buttons will work.

Try calling Samsung....
Purchased samsung SMH8165ST in Oct 2009. have had the SE code problem for a few month now. Resetting worked at first. Then the light started flasing on & off along with the beeping...would not reset. Out of frustration I called Samsung. I was told they are aware of the problem & would repair in the "epidemic warranty". Repair man just left. It took him about 15 minutes to change out the keypad. No charge!!

I would like instructions on how to operate a Hotpoint double oven BD51 and hotplate BE71 as I have just moved to a property with this built in cooker

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

My electronic ignition has gone and the cooker clock doesnt light up, also the fan isnt working is there a battery and if so how can I change this. Thanks

I would say that you have a power failure. A battery cannot run all of that. Check the mains supply to the cooker.

Kenmore Microwave Problem

"d" may mean demo mode.

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Let us know if the hard reset doen't fix it.
