Have you replaced the devolper recently? What model is your Gestetner? You do know that it cross's with a Ricoh. Depending on what one you are working on? There are a few tricks to the older ones.... Good Luck

How to fix dirty copy in np7250

You better upload an image, because there are many kinds of "dirty copy". Also you'll need to check the counters to see if is not the time to replace Developer Unit or Fixing Unit. Check the surface of the Pressure Roller and Heater Roller in the Fixing Unit., also check the surface of Developer Roller if the are scratches or other kind of damage on them. In some cases you need only to clean the printer inside with vacuum cleaner. Be careful not to produce any damage to the printer components. Do not touch Drum surface or Developer roller.

The print out r my xerox copier everytime we used it the print copy is dirty.how can i solve these kind of problem?hope you can help.thanks

The developing tank need,s also a periodical maintenance ( after about 150 - 170 K the dr. blade gets dirty and some white lines will appear on the copy and also you will have to clean the developing roller, i recommended with alcohol). The laser always gets dirty on the polygonal mirror and the optics, if in the room is enough dust.

Background on copies, possible dirty charge roller , I cleaned all optics is there an adjustment to perform to help eliviate this background

Hi,
yes it could be chatge rollers fault, but how many copies does developer have? I would clean the charge roller with water, dry it, and change the developer. On these digital machine, when you have backround wich is dark, these means that developer is worn out and you need to change it and clean developer cylindar. When the optics is dirty the image will be light, not dark!!!!! Only on analog copiers when optics is dirty the copy is dark, and when the developer is worned out the copy is light!!!!

Copies are printing out light on the top half of page

The developer needs to be changed in your copier. It should be done by a service technician since the the toner developer sensor has to be recalibrated and all developer has to be removed out of the machine including the mag roller. If it isn't done properly the problem will continue.

Our Gestetner DSm645 gives Dark Copies..........

Sounds to me like the drum needs replacing, and likely the developer too. There is probably a haze of toner still on the drum. You can check by opening the right side cover and looking at it. Is there toner on the drum (green cylinder). It may not be too obvious depending on how dark the copies are. GENTLY wipe a tissue across it after making several copies - it should be clean if the drum is functioning properly. If it is, it could be the fuser that is wearing out, but I'm leaning toward the drum. As I said, if you need to replace this, it is a good idea to do developer at the same time, because these machines tend to be a little sensitive.
