the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Put recovery disk in the CD drive. On reboot, hold down F12 key. You should get a choice of drives to boot from. Make sure the first two are in the correct order:

1. CD-ROM (optical drive)
2. HDD (hard drive)

then press F10 to save and exit.

Now the laptop should boot correctly from the recovery disk.

SOURCE: asus Eee PC 2G series will not boot up

Try to unplug the battery, wait 10-15 seconds and plug it again. Sometimes it gets stucked with hardware issues and this is a kind of "reset". It doesn't affect your data.

SOURCE: i have pressed f3 to restore to factory settings

Mostly it shouldn't, but may be due to low ram memory, it takes longer,,

Try increasing your ram, if it still take all that time

How do I put my Asus notebook back into factory settings?

Asus has become one of the "Top 5" computer manufacturers worldwide. CNET attributes this growth to the Netbook craze. The company's name comes from the last four letters of "Pegasus," the winged horse from Greek Mythology. You can restore your Asus laptop to the original factory settings in about five minutes.

Restart your ASUS laptop and press the "F9" key while the computer is booting up. This will open the boot screen. Select "Recover Windows to Entire HD" and press "Enter." Press "Y" three times when asked if you are sure that you want to restore. The laptop will restore the factory settings. The computer will then shut down and start up again. Approve the license agreement, then select your "Language preference." Enter your name into the box and click "Next." Enter your password twice on the next screen and select "Next." Enter the time zone and date information, then select "Next." Select "Finish" on the next screen and the computer will reboot. Hope this helps.

Im trying to restore my dell pc back to factory settings its running vista f8 is not working i can only use f2 and f12

I would recommend using the Dell factory restore DVD. It probably didn't come with your computer (companies save money by not shipping a DVD with the computer). You can order it from Dell and it will probably cost less than $20.
Many times the restore function by hitting a special function key at startup becomes corrupt and doesn't work.
I'd opt for a new DVD to use.

Im trying to restore mt dell pc..back to factory settings its running vista f8 doesnot work ive only got f2 and f12

F8 is not the key you would press to get into Factory Settings or System Recovery as it is called. F8 gets you into different boot modes such as Safe Mode, or Restoring your last good Boot settings.

The key most manufacturers use to get into Recovery is F11, but to be sure which key to use either tell us the model of your Dell or go look it up yourself by reading the owners manual.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "DellSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Look for Manuals and Documents.Once you find the manuals search through them for Factory Settings or System Recovery. It will tell you which key to hit when you press the power button.

My asus eee pc will not start windows. I've tried pressing F2 (and the bios screen comes up) F7, F8 and F9 ask me if I want to run system recovery, but when I say yes, it acts like it's about to...

Restart your computer..start tapping F8 quickly..if you reaches advance boot menu..there select repair my computer..then select the language..then enter your username and password if you use any..in recovery options you can try startup repair or system restore options..lastly if nothing works then select the factory image restore which will take your computer to factory settings but delete everything

ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK Netbook how do fix black screen issue? It has an upper left corner blinking dash_

Hello.

Either you have an operating system problem or memory issue.

First, boot your system to Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly when powering on). Go to System Restore and choose a date when your system worked OK. Note: with System Restore, all your updates will roll back to that date. Follow the process.

If still a problem, disconnect all cables. Be certain to dispel static electricity by touching metal. Remove the battery and memory cover. Try reseating (removing and reinserting) your memory (try one module at a time to test).

If still a problem, the last choices are Factory Restore and reinstall. Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Boot your system and press F10, F11, Alt+F10, or Ctrl+F11 to access Factory Restore. Follow the prompts.

If still not resolved, you'll probably need to reinstall your operating system.

Hope this helps.

How do you restore a asus eeepc notebook 1001ha/1005 series

Turn it off. And as it turns on press F2. Then it will prompt for the advance option then press F8. When the menu comes up press "repair my computer". choose the restore to factory. Make sure you back up files that you want to keep. Caution: Make sure you charge the laptop full and keep it plugged in. If the there is a power failure and your laptop runs out of battery, it would mess things up.

BOOTMGR IS COMPRESSED CANT GET ON F8 REPEATLY HELPP I TRYED EVERYTHNGON MY TOSHIBA SATTLITE P205D S7438PC

Hello.

Saw that you posted again ...

Since you can't access F8, the only options are Repair, Factory Restore and reinstall.

Change your options (usually F1 or F2) to boot from your Windows CD. Run the Repair option.

Accessing Factory Restore (restores to the factory settings and will wipe out anything that you have installed or saved on your PC), is dependent on your hardware manufacturer. Give this a try:

The last option is a complete install.

Hope this helps.
