Inner cover now

Printer head replaced and now message" inner cover 1 open close inner cover 1...we did this and printing of cd-dvd cover is not available at this moment can you please advise .how do we solve this challange

Green light flashes 7 times

LED Blinking in Orange/Green:

Canon MP830 printer giving error message "inner

If the inner cover is open when starting normal printing,close it before pressing [OK] on the machine.Do not open or close the inner cover when printing.This may damage the machine.

5 orange flashes

Hi,
5 time orange flash indicate Cartridge Error or Print Head Error.
1) Reseat the Print Head
  • Confirm that the printer is powered on.
  • Open the paper output tray and top cover. Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.
  • After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.
  • Remove all ink tanks.
  • Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.
  • Re-seat the print head into the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever until a click is heard.
  • Insert the appropriate ink tank into the slot at the right end and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click is heard. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.
  • Close the inner cover and top cover. Check that each ink tank is installed in the correct position.
2) Reseat the Printer
  • Turn the printer off with the Power button.
  • Disconnect the data cable from the printer
  • Unplug the printer's power cord for approx. 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Else either your device require service or print head may need to replace.

Put in cartridge error

Hi celcono,

Many times this happens because the Print Head needs reseated.

Here are the instructions from Canon on reseating the print head.

Reseat the Print head Reseating the print head is seldomly required to do.
  1. Make sure the machine is powered on.

  2. Lift the Scan Unit until it locks into place (1). The Print Head Holder moves to the center.

  3. Open the Paper Output Tray (2).

  4. Open the Inner Cover (2). The print head holder (3) should be centered.

  5. Lift up the lock lever and take out the print head. The print head can be removed with the ink tanks installed.

  6. Reinsert the print head back in position and press down the lock lever.

  7. Close the Inner Cover (1) and the Scan Unit (2).

    CAUTION: Press the center of the Inner Cover until the cover locks into place.

  8. After the Scan Unit is return to its original position, the LCD displays a message asking if you replaced an ink tank.

  9. Press [+] and select [NO] to exit.

I cannot remove the printhead to install a new one , afrain of breaking somethin

1.Confirm that the printer is powered on.
2. Open the paper output tray and top cover.
Note: Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.
3. After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.
4. Remove all ink tanks.
5. Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.

CD printing error 'inner cover is open'

Reset the device when it is not functioning properly. If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it.
  1. On the operator panel, press and hold the <ON/OFF> button for one second. (The display will go blank.)

    Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.

  2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the <ON/OFF> button again.

  3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.

A big PGBK ink cartridge problem

Call - 1-800-828-4040
Verify they are installed correctly.
Remove the print head or ink tanks properly following the procedure below.
1. Confirm that the printer is powered on and open the top cover. The print head moves to the replacement position.

Note: When the top cover is opened more than ten minutes, the print head moves to the right side. If this occurs, close the top cover, and open it again.

2. Open the paper output tray and pull down the inner cover.

3. Remove the ink tanks by pressing the tab of each tank.

Note: Handle the ink tanks with care so that your clothes and surrounding area do not get soiled. When replacing multiple ink tanks, make sure to replace one by one.

1. Place the print head in the holder and lower the print head lock lever carefully until you hear a click.

Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.

4. Put back the inner cover and close the top cover.
Note: When starting printing next time, the print head cleaning launches automatically.
During the print head cleaning, the Power lamp flashes green. Do not do other operations until the flashes stops.

I have a cannon mp830 wont print

Solution: Insert one of each color ink tank MP830

CD printing

there is a small,square button near the right,front corner. think of it as the button for the refrigerator light. It must be depressed by the closed top or maybe something to wedge it down. Duh
