My house was hit by lightning. Hit my PC, 2 TV's, 2 DVD players, 2 VHS players, 2 Satillight boxes, Refrigerator,Sterio (dvd, tape, radio), and I think it hit my KitchenAid-Selectra glass top self clean-glass stove top-range. How would I know for sure it hit my range? There is a burnt rubber smell when I use it. Please help me quickly, I have to turn this clamim-paper work in tomorrow. Thank you so very much. Cheryl

How do I get the DVD to record what is on the VHS tape not the TV?

You can record from an external component, such as a camcorder or VCR, connected to any of the Recorder's external inputs.
1. Make sure that the component you want to record from is connected properly to the Recorder. See page 14.

2. Press AUX repeatedly to select the external input to record from.
• AV1: Audio/Video Input mounted on back panel.
• AV2: Audio/Video Input mounted on front panel.
• DV: DV Input mounted on front panel.

If this fails, try to disconnect the tv input cable and connect the vcr cable.

Can i transfer vhs to dvd

I haven't been able to use my Emerson EWR20V4 for a long time, but as I recall, the easiest way is to cue the tape to your desired starting point, pause, then hit the record button on the panel's DVD side, let it spool up & start recording, then unpause the tape. If desired, I think you can hit the DVD record button again to set 1/2-hr. increments before the recording will stop.

If the entire VHS is full then you can easily transfer the VHS contents to the DVD. The video will play while it is recording onto the DVD, but you don't have to have it hooked up to any TV for it to record. Now if you don't know how long the VHS content is that you want to record to DVD, then you will have to hook up the player to a TV so that you can press stop when you reach the end of the content you want recorded. At least this is true in the way that I use to transfer VHS to DVD:

1) Turn on the unit
2) Insert VHS tape
3) Insert DVD-+R or DVD-+ RW
4) Using remote, press VCR
5)Using remote, press play then pause the tape where you want to start recording.
6)Using remote, press DVD
7) Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS should start to play and the DVD should start recording

When using this method, don't hit the RECORD button!

I hope this helps!

We had a lightning strike which hit the house phone wire and knocked it out. the tv and dvd player didn't get hit. we turn the dvd player on it plays but no picture. the input button on remote won't switch...

Check the TV internal fuse. If fuse is OK check the SMPS. Lightning damage could harm any part and step by step only it can be found.
If you have insurance for your TV and other appliances, you can claim.

Better contact the authorised service provider for assitance.

I want to copy my VHS tape to a DVD

you should just have to hit the dubbing button on the front of the unit. Make sure you hit stop on both the vhs and the dvd sides. I found that in certain conditions it won't dub.

Help w/ panasonic burner

I own one and it is a pain to work. Put in the disc and vhs tape and hit the bottom right button, I believe it says DVD and above it says dubbing. Hold it for a few seconds and the screen will come up and the system will do the rest recording from your VHS tape to the disc. You MUST finalize the disc after you are finished if you want to watch it in another DVD players if not it will only work on the Panasonic. Hope this helps. How to record from KS 4110 DVD payer to VCR

Connect your DVD player to your VCR ( the out put from the dvd player is connected to the input of the vcr) then connect your vcr to the tv( the output from the vcr is connected to the tv)

Set your tv to what ever channel you connected your vcr to and hit the tv/vcr button on your vcr remote until you get the vcr displayed on the tv.(ensure your vcr is on when doing that)

now when you get your vcr displayed on the tv , turn on your dvd player and set your vcr to what ever channel you got the dvd player connected to(e.g INPUT 1 etc)

you dvd player should now be visable on your tv

simply insert a blank vcr tape and play your dvd and hit record on your vcr
