No water to hand held. Danze Taju hand held shower, model D49115. When rubber trigger is pressed no water or pressure seems to be diverted to the hand held . Product has had limited use. Is there an easy fix? Or did I purchase a lemon?

Thanks, however no water goes to the head. Would running hot water over the sprayer help(from the tap)?

Hi it sounds to me like it has a stuck valve the problem with this is that they are sealed and you cant get to the valve to unstick it, have you tried running just hot water through it and see if that makes and difference if not i would take it back and get a replacement, if you have not had it that long just take it back without the receipt and tell them it dont work they will then replace it for you just say you only bought it a couple of weeks ago.

they have to replace it as a faulty part they wont give you your money back but they will replace it for you.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

hi, if it will reach the tap give it a try the hotter the better it may just free the seal up and get it working if it dont then i would get a replacement, also have you tried unscrewing it from the shower and checking that their is nothing blocking the end such as a bit of plastic.

have a look failing that i would take it back as you should have no problems with it, if you have not had it that long then it shouldnt pack up for at least 12 to 18 months

let me know what you find ok

How do I change a single diverter to a 3 way diverter?

Not exactly sure what you are attempting. A quick-and relatively inexpensive way-would be to add an Alsons diverter to the shower arm. It is simply removing the shower head, adding the diverter, and reinstalling the shower head and accessory hand held shower. If you are looking for something different, there are myriad valves on the market that would allow for such change. However, changing to a new valve could get somewhat complicated. For example: you may need to increase the size of the supply lines that are feeding the shower; some diverters require a 3/4" feed.

Also, if you check the box stores, they have several shower/hand held shower kits that already have the diverter with the packaging. Again, I am not exactly sure of the end result in which you seek, but I hope this helps some.

How danze shower lever which changes the water flow from the permanent shower head to the removeable freehand shower has fallen out. How can it be repaired?

Don't try to repair it. Replace it. All hand held showers use 1/2" hose fittings so any brand divertor should fit. Bring the part with you as there are different styles.

What to do if i can't stop the water flowing from the shower spout and there's little water pressure coming from the shower head and a hand held shower?

One rule I live by: more parts, more problems. Sounds to me that the plumbing/valves were not insalled properly. If you hired a profesional plumber, have them fix it. I am a licensed profesional plumber and I offer a 1 year warranty on all my work. If the contractor did the work and does not hold a plumbing license, that person is still responsible and may have to suffer legal consequenses.

Why does the water not flow from shower valve when turned on?

Do you have water coming out of the tub spout and not the shower head? If so how does the water get directed to the shower head,is it by pulling up the diverter on the tub spout? If water is still coming out of the tub spout then the diverter is bad and the tub spout needs to be replaced.

yep replace the unit the plumbing will be ok for a new unit, with a setup lie that whoever installed it hopefully was smart to put shut off valves behind the wall or you will have to turn off h20o supply and replace and solder caps on the rest easier to change out to new

I just installed the valve new. I have a shoewe head and a hand held that feed from the unit. It was intended to 1) serve the shower heas alone, 2) serve the hand held unit alone, 3) put water to both...

Assuming that your two heads are fed from the typical curved wall mounted shower pipe, what you need is a diverter valve. Removed both heads till it's down to just that curved pipe. Get a diverter valve from a plumbing supply store. Tell the sales folks that you want to install a diverter valve so that in one position, the hand held receives water and in the other, it cuts the hand held and puts it to the reg. shower head instead. They should give you a "T" sort of fitting. The female threads of this screws into that curved shower pipe. Then you will find two male thread ends. These connect to both your shower heads. Finally there will be a push/pull knob that is operated to control which head gets the water.

The water comes out of both the shower head and the tab simultaneously. If the knob controlling the water flow is turned to the side that control the water to shower head then about 75% of the water flows...

I will have to assume this issue developed and was not present at first use after the initial installation.

There are generally only two reasons for your problem. The first is that the diverter mechanism is simply wearing out and/or broken. The second it that there is a foreign object preventing it from doing its job correctly. Either way the diverter must come out. I have provided a couple of links below that should help get it out.

Once out, put a wadded up towel over the end of the tub spout opening so as to prevent any water from coming out of it. Then, for just a moment, turn your shower on full and adjust your temperature from full cold to full hot. This process should dislodge any foreign matter and send it out the opening the diverter came out of and also will probably get you wet. I usually plug the tub so I can catch what, if anything, comes out. Having a second person holding a bowl over the diverter opening helps reduce the water splash.

Rinse off the diverter and reinstall it. Turn the shower on and see if there is any difference in how much water comes out the spout while in the shower mode. If nothing has changed then the next step is to replace the diverter.

The diverter assembly part number is A603819

Danze control valves producing loud water hammer

It sounds like your flow diverter isn't closing properly. Try removing the flow restrictors from the shower nozzle and see if that helps.
