What do you mean went back to factory settings? Are you referring to the bios settings? Or other else? If you are referring to the bios settings, and everytime you change the bios and rebooted, then back to factory settings then your problem maybe the cmos battery. You can change it and try if everything works fine. And maybe you can't connect using wifi because it is disabled in the bios settings or if not you got a defective wireless module.
