Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
If you haven't got your own licensed copy of Microsoft Office then yes you would have to pay for installing it on your laptop.
An alternative would be to use a free office application suite, i use openoffice which you can download from here , for free, with no adverts or trials.
This may be enough to cover your needs, but if you need MMS Office you would have to purchase it sorry!
