Hi,
Is it LG 26LC7DC tv?
If yes, then find out "Remote Control In" jack at rear of tv and plug in and out headphone pin 10-12 times in that jack then check remote control operation. That jack has internal switch that got clogged for some reason and inserting headphone pin repeatedly will clean its contacts.
This will solve your no remote operation problem in tv.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

I know you have IR remote but did you tried what I suggested?

It is common problem in LG and if if remote does not solve by above said method then remote sensor on tv front will be defective.
Try first what I suggested then replace remote sensor on tv front.

Great, problem solved, that remote jack has inbuilt switch that turns off for some reason, inserting headphone pin refresh its contacts and it works again.
That is what I was trying to convey.
    Have nice time.

In that case the IR sensor on the tv is faulty. Open the back cover of the tv, locate the sensor and replace it. Or, if you have some  electronics experience, you could repair it: it's a simple part in which the only things that could have gone wrong are the IR sensor and the signal amplifier.

What are the remote codes for Sony RM-EZ4 / Haier TV, Comcast Xfinity cable box?

Follow these steps to program the remote control.

  1. Turn on the component to be programmed.
  2. Press the SET button.
  3. On the remote control, press the appropriate component button.
  4. Using the number pad, enter the component's manufacturer code.
  5. NOTE: If more than one code number is listed for the manufacturer, repeat the procedure, entering one code at a time until you find one that works.

  6. Press the ENT button.
  7. Point the remote control at the component.
  8. Press the POWER button to verify operation.
Comcast offers several remote controls. The type of remote you get depends on the device you're using. Some Comcast remote controls are multi-device or universal remotes, while others only control the set top box and TV.

I have a JVC tv with a Comcast DVR. Remote provided will not work on DVR.

did you take a look at the manual you should have recvd for your comcast remote control, You need to program your DVR, look in the manual for the 4 digit code and follow the instructions- usually- hold the dvr button on the remote down until it stops blinking- enter the code- (depending on who the manufact is) wait for the button to start then stop blinking, see if that helps

Comcast Remote Control - Won't accept remote codes

To reset the remote control, just take out the battery from the remote control, and reinsert it after an hour or so. The remote control will reset itself.
After that try to set it up with the setup code said for your device. You might have to try many codes before getting a code that'll have the most functionality with your device.
Setup procedure and set up code list of many popular brand remote controls are given by these sites. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/

Innovage Jumbo Universal Remote and Comcast Cable

I do not see Comcast cable codes in the manual, so I recommend using the auto-search function for both CABLE and SAT to find one that works for you.

To have the remote try each CABLE or SAT code it knows one at a time, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your cable box.
  2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button for at least 3 seconds until the red LED lights up and stays lit.
  3. Press the CABLE or SAT button on the remote so that the LED blinks once and then remains solid red.
  4. Press the ON/OFF button slowly and repeatedly until the cable box turns off. The LED will blink once each time you press the ON/OFF button.
  5. Once the cable box turns off, press the ENTER button to store the code and the LED will turn off.

I hope that helps.

Remote doesn't control. batteries are good, but there is no apparent connection between the remote and the TV. It is in use with a Comcast turner-DVR, which works fine, but I have to turn on and adjust...

Are you using Comcast remote to control the TV? When you program the Comcast remote to control your TV, it will do two functions: on/off, and Volume control. The Comcast can also be programmed not to control the volume of the TV (TV volume will have to be set at about mid level manually, then the Comcast box will send out variable sound level to the TV), just on/off ONLY.

Code for Comcast remote for Sony DAVHDX275

It seems like most (maybe all) Sony HTIB do not work with the Comcast Custom Remote. I've found a work around that fixes the volume control and power button though. Hope it helps you all. I have a DAVHDX275 but I think this will work for most Sony HTIB systems.

What you need to do is steal some codes from a like product and then hardcode in the changes you need to the comcast remote. Set your AUX to 21232 (a sony code for TV/VCRs).

Then do the following:

1. While still on AUX, press and hold SETUP again until the remote blinks twice
2. Type 994
3. Press and release SETUP
4. Type 32975
5. Press and release VOL+
The remote should blink twice. That should reprogram the VOL+ to work with your Sony HT device. For each of the following function codes, follow the same steps and use the codes listed below:
Vol+ = 32975
Vol- = 31951
Power = 32719
Good luck. Let me know if it works.

DTV remote code

KZXten,

Don't know if this will help but I have Comcast as my cable TV provider and am using a Motorola DCT-6200 STB and the remote Comcast provides with the STB. To get my Panasonic TV/VCR combo (PVQ-2510A) to work with the Comcast remote I had to do the following:

1) Do the remote code search in AUX mode (or VCR or DVD mode if your remote has that button instead) using the instructions for searching ing remote codes. I had to toggle back and forth between AUX and POWER on the remote until the TV turned off. I saved that code on the remote, but it only controlled the power on the TV, not the volume control.

2) Next I did the remote code search using the TV button on the remote and toggled between the TV button and the volume control until the volume +/- bar appeared on the screen. I saved that code too.

I use the AUX button to turn the TV on and off. Once the TV is on the volume control on the remote operates the TV volume normally. I still need to toggle between CABLE and AUX depending on which device I'm controlling, the cable Set Top Box (STB) or the TV. You may have to experiment some to get it to work correctly.

Here's a link to the remotes Comcast is providing in my area.
