Unless your 'new' cartridge has a used chip, it's likely that the pagecount for the Photoconductor/Drum Unit is at the replace stage. The Drum unit has a small waste toner collection container, is this becomes over-full, waste toner 'spews' into the printer with dire effects. This is ONE of the reasons that drum units have a rated pagecount. You can reset the drum counter without actually replacing the drum, but this should be used as a short term measure ONLY, AND AT YOUR OWN RISK. The Photconductor reset procedure is as follows.

1) Leave the power on, insert toner cartridge, and leave door open
2) Press the cancel button and hold till the leds flash
3) Release cancel button and close toner cartridge door

Try removing the toner cartridge and putting it back in place.

Try also unplugging power cord for ten minutes, and check if this clears error message.

Inspect the printer for foreign objects, or paper stuck inside.

If this does not work, it is a faulty drum.

Open the front of the printer then hold down the cancel button. When the lights flash close the front and it should Reset.

Either the "toner cartridge sensor" N4445 isn't reading the chip in the toner,

or an MCU board P5281 or EEPROM is defective

If your cartridge has a lever on the left side near the rear, it needs to be reset, and there's a lever inside on the left that can stick and cause that error. You need to wiggle and pull that lever until it moves freely again.

We have an error message CRUM 009-367 and we are unable to figure out what is wrong with it on our Dell 3110cn. Thanks


009-367:The Yellow (Y) Toner Cartridge CRUM Data error is detected.

  1. Cycle power on the Printer.
    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Wait 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the printer on.
    4. Determine if the issue still occurs.

  2. Verify that the toner installed is Dell toner

  1. Cycle power on the printer again.

  2. If the error persists, replace the desired toner cartridge.
    • If the desired toner cartridge has already been replaced, replace the Toner Dispenser CRUM.
    • If the Toner Dispenser CRUM has already been replaced, replace the Printer.

I have a Dell 948, displaying missing toner cartridge or low toner, I have replaced the cartridge several times and still get this message. Any ideas?

Wrong cartridge 093-982 cyan toner unsupported


are you using a dell-branded toner cartridge? if yes, then you should replace the toner cartridge sensor and machine control unit (MCU). if no, you can enable the non-dell toner mode on your printer's operator panel. how? press menu, down until "configure" & press select; down until "maintenance" & press select; down until "non-dell toner" & press select; down until "on" & press select.

Received "Low Toner" message. Replaced toner with new Brother cartridge still have "low Toner" meaasge and [printer will not print.


Please check if you removed the Plastic Tapes which is placed in the side lock of the new Toner Cartridge.

Have you already tried powering the printer off/on to see if this would clear the error? If so, are you using a Dell branded toner? If not, this could be why the printer has not recognized the replacement. It could be you recieved a bum toner cartidge, although this does not happen often, it can still happen. If you take your old toner cartridge and put it back in the printer, does it recognize it? If so, perhaps it is the toner cartridge.

If it is a bum Dell toner cartridge, Dell carries a seperate warranty on toner, apart from the warranty on the printer. Call Dell laser printer tech support. They will need your order number for the toner and have the cartridge handy as they will need an identification number off of the cartridge.

We re-filled the toner cartridge and re-installed it, but the red light indicating toner low keeps blinking, also the computor is telling us toner is low


Just refilling the cartridge may not resolve the low toner message. Many cartridges have a sensor chip that must be reset to clear the message. Due to this, many people opt to buy replacements or refurbished cartridges that have had the sensor chip reset.

"Toner Low" message = no faxes :(


Need to do a hard reset. Contact Dell for instructions, but it will involve turning printer off, opening front cover, pushing buttons on front panel in certain sequence, etc. Each model differs, which is why you should call Dell.

Black Toner replaced


Replace Toner with gen cartridge.

 

Or Take cartridge back as faulty after checking that it was opened and installed correctly.

 

Check display on printer for indications that maybe it needs one of the 3 colour toners indicators are Y,C or M

 

K is black
