Question about TruTech PVS2119 19 in. LCD Television

1 Answer

No satellite My father just purchased this TV and he has satellite. He has a Hughes satellite system. We connected as the one page instruction states, in the antenna connection, and no satellite comes on. It states unusable signal. He is only able to get local channels. 27V514T I have Dish Network and I set up the reciever exactly how the instructions say and I get a "No Signal" box on the screen. I bought the TV back in February and I had the reciever set up and it was working and then one day it just stopped and had the "No Signal" message. We had a storm and it cut off the electricity and I haven't been able to get the satellite to work since.

I purchase a Panasonic Blu-Ray Home Theatre SC-BT330PCK with the intent of using it as a surround sound system for my TV and having a Blu-Ray as a bonus. Is it possible to have them work independently?

Hello there,

Yes it is possible and relatively simple to do. I suspect you have only connected an HDMI cable from the Home Theater system (HT) to the TV. This cable only sends audio and video to the TV from the HT system - it can't be used to receive the audio from the TV back to the HT.

To get audio from the TV channels through the HT speakers, you will need to connect a separate audio cable from the AUDIO OUT sockets on the TV to the HT. This can be either a Digital Optical cable (connects to socket ringed in green) or an RCA type stereo audio cable (connects to AUX sockets ringed in red).

belectric_146.jpg

If you are using a cable or satellite receiver, you should connect the receiver directly to the HT rather than the TV. You would also need to select the correct INPUT on the HT when you want to use the speakers for the TV channels. This will be DIGITAL 1 if using the digital optical cable or AUX if using the RCA stereo audio cable.

The audio connections are explained on page 16 of your user manual and input selection is explained on page 23. If you don't have a manual, please let me know and I can supply one.

I can draw you a diagram showing how to connect your TV to the HT and provide step-by-step instructions for setting it up, but you will need to let me know the brand and model number of your TV. If you are using a cable or satellite receiver, please let me know the brand and model number of this receiver as well.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Hughes7101 is wery low riger please help me

Satellite phones in general will have a lower battery life, and it is not always easy to make and maintain a connection. The antenna of your phone should always be pointed to the direction you think the satellite is (you should check this before hand). You will have this will satellite phones, the Hughes 7101 is no exception. Did this in any way answer your question?

How do I find out my Hughes HN 9000 modem ip address?

http://www.viasatelital.com/manuales/Instalacion-HN9000.pdf

Accessing the System Control Center
To open the System Control Center on a web browser installed on a computer that is connected to the satellite modem,
double-click the System Control Center shortcut on your computer desktop, or follow these steps:
1. Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape.
2. In the browser address bar, type www.systemcontrolcenter.com or 192.168.0.1 and press Enter.
Note: To use 192.168.0.1, the satellite modem must be configured for a private address, and DHCP must be
enabled on the computer.
The System Control Center home page appears as shown in Figure 8: System Control Center home page on page
9.
If you are unable to access the System Control Center, refer to Cannot Access the System Control Center on page
34.
Creating a shortcut to the System Control Center
You can create a Windows shortcut on your computer desktop for easy access to the System Control Center home page.
Note: As part of the installation process, the person who installed your satellite modem creates a shortcut to the
System Control Center, so there should already be a shortcut on your desktop—unless it has been deleted.
1. Open a web browser.
Note: The method described here works for Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. It may work with other
browsers.
2. Type www.systemcontrolcenter.com or 192.168.0.1 in the browser address bar and press Enter.
Note: To use 192.168.0.1, the satellite modem must be configured for a private IP address, and DHCP must
be enabled on the computer.
The System Control Center home page appears.
3. Drag the icon that appears in front of the address displayed in the browser to the computer desktop.

Xplornet Sat. connection and D-Link WBR-2310

Can you get a pc to connect to the internet? If you can, what IP address does HUGHES assign? If it is in the range of 192.168.0.X then change the DEFAULT GATEWAY address of the router to something like 192.168.10.1 (out of the box it should be set to 192.168.0.1)

Pixelating & freezing of picture

Hi, Pixelating and freezing are symptoms of loss of signal. You need to check all of your connections. Check for water in any connection. Check your satellite signal strength on each satellite and if low or they are all not there you could have a bad LNB but you need to check the LNBs and the multiswitch for poor or bad connections. Also check for any obstructions in the dish view to the sky or for anything that may not have been tightened down on the dish. Snow and ice builtup will cause this problem as well. Good Luck! Let me know what you find.
