There should be an option in the main menu to return all settings to factory default. That may or may not reset the parental lock to either 0000 or 1234. Hope it helps.

Just unlock its Parential contol and reset the TV. NB: You must have its original remote control handset to proceed. If you haven't it with you, just boroww it from somone you know, who have the same model number of Tv; just to unlock it. After unlock, you can use universal remote or so.Proceedings are: Most GE TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset procedure is different depending on the model. Scroll down to the "lock" icon. Scroll over to "Rating". Scroll over to unlock. Enter 0000. Click on Ok. Enter 0000 again, click Ok again. Menu should read unlock. Voila!
