Question about LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer

1 Answer

I purchased a used LGWM1814CW washer Thursday 028/26/10. The seller delivered it to me. When I attempted to wash a load, the washer filled with water but the drum ould not turn (agitate). It tries to turn, but seems blocked and the LE message appears on the digital screen. The man I purchased it from did NOT install the stabilizing rods prior to monving the washer, he does not have the manual. Please help!

Most likely a defective motor hall sensor. it's attached to the inside of motor stator. part is approx $30. it's not easy to replace if you do not have the tools.

Most likely the motor position sensor also known as the hall sensor. Pretty easy fix. Part is under $20. Check out self help videos at repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com.

The first thing seems to be the timer,or the water level switch. Try filling the washer with water by hand, if it starts to agitate after being filled its the timer, if not it is the water level switch, let me know if you need further assistance.
