Question about GE Refrigerators

Open Question

We own a GE Profile refrigerator - Model #PFSF2MJYC WW Serial #ZS 313523 The handle to the freezer has broken. This is the second time that it has broken. GE sent a new handle at that time. Again, when the new handle began to loosen, I tightened the screw. Unfortunately, the fittings stripped and no longer hold the handle tight. The refrigerator is not yet even a year old. Why is this happening and how can I prevent it from happening again? Could you please send another replacement handle. Thank you Deb McNiven

SOURCE: GE French Door handle loose

To tighten the screw the first step is to remove the handle. With this model just pull straight up on the handle. It can take a little force but after it finally unclips it moves up an inch or two then pulls straight out. Good luck!

GE Profile refrigerator temperature problem

refrigerators have 2 coils. the evaporator coil and the condensing coil. one is on the bottom of the fridg and one is on the back or inside behind a false panel. these coils must be kept clean or if the condensing coil cannot reject the heat absorbed by the evaporator, the box temp will stay high and if the evap coil cant absorb heat the box temp stays low running the risk of freezing

The door handle on the freezer of my GE Profile Bottom Freezer Refrigerator came off.

Hi, Please get me the model # from the label inside the refrigerator and I will look this up for you. Most handles have a set screw that tightens down.
