Question about Panasonic PT-47WX53 47" Rear Projection HDTV
After checking the schematic on the D" board' Replaced R517 with the proper 10 k reistor checked d509 found it open no back to back reistance replaced it with a 1 KV. fast switching diode , found C524 measured .24 uf with my capacitor meter and replaced it with the required value of .22 uf 100 volts.
Powered up the tv and it shut down' with the resistor heating up, I removed the output lead from the flyback to the flyback divider .
The unit stayed on and I was able to measured 20kv with my high voltage meter, at the output from the flyback, and it was naturally to low.
My question is do I require the flyback as well as the flyback divider or just the flyback ?

You will need the flyback as thats way to low. The HV splitter will only direct the HV to each of the CRTs it doesnt change or regulate the HV in any way just directs (splits) it. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
