Question about Whirlpool GS5SHAXN Side by Side Refrigerator
The control board of your Refrigerator is the problem.Actually it is the one which controls the indicator lights.Since you say you heard a pop sound.The control board transistors has been burst or some times damaged wiring connections to the cause a short circuit.Please check for any burnt out wires through bulb to the control board.
The control board looks like this.If it is wiring problem solder it correctly and check for the replacement of damaged wires.
If board is the problem go for replacement.If you don't have hands on in it.take it to the nearest service center.

Number 6 is the part location and the part is=> 2303805 Circuit Board or Timer You can also find the part here=> 2303805 Sounds like your control board is malfunctioning and I need to know if temperatures are stable in freezer and fresh food compartment. Also look inside freezer at the rear wall to make sure there is no frost building on the rear wall that would also indicate a defrost problem caused by this control board malfunctioning. I will be here to answer and assist you if you want answers but with lights not working and buzzer sounding is an indication that number one this control board may be bad.
