Turntable stopped working

The motor for that may have failed. It is located immediately under the microwave and you should be able to get access to it easily. You can buy a replacement or salvage one from a similar unit.

Check for continutiy across the two terminals, there should be about 500 Ohms, give or take. Anything more than 10,000 replace it. You should see voltage across the terminals if you can extract them from under the cabinet enough to allow the microwave to sit upright or if you have test leads securely attached. You should see an AC voltage when microwave is on. If you do not, it requires the back to be removed to trace the wire/circuit to locate the break- most microwaves these days have a schematic package inside to facilitate this. Most failure of these motors is the motor itself.

Is the blades supposed to come off when I take the container off of the blender.. My blender is brand new sat for 3 or 4 years after I bought it. . The first time I used it , it was extremely hard to get...

You did not specify a brand or model number of your blender; however, most blender jars will lift off their power base without turning or with only very little turning motion to release them from the base. The blade assembly should NOT come off as you remove the blender jar from the power base.

Were you successful in removing the bottom ring which normally screws on to the bottom of the blender jar from the powerbase?

You should make sure you have properly attached the blade assembly for your brand/model.

The blender blade assembly should be held on to the bottom of the blender jar by the bottom ring which screws on clockwise; most will have a sealing gasket that fits between the blade assembly and the sealing surface of the blender jar to prevent any leakage while in use. It will take much more turning to unscrew the bottom ring to release the blade assembly than it should to release the bottom ring from the powerbase.

Assemble your blender jar and blade assembly and try a dry run by placing on the powerbase, giving a couple of bursts of power, and then seeing if you are able to remove without the blender ring unscrewing.

Make sure you are comfortable with the action required to remove the blender jar from the powerbase before you put in to use.

Good luck!

According to one of your solutions rergarding a noisy k45 kitchenaid I removed the brushes to examine and upon multiple attempts to reinsert properly - the noisy machine no longer operates to make noise. ...

Hello; Bummer trade off, huh? Ok , here we go.Getting it to run again, then address the noise. The attached drawing shows how the brushes should be installed. The brushes take a set and must be placed back into the same holder and leading edge into rotation, set square on the armature, w/full contactand spring pressure. After Slidingthe brush in place, lift it slightly and let it drop back onto thr srmature. Not much and let the spring set the brush and align .You want to make sure the brush moves smoothly up and down. The part the brushes ride on is called the the commutator. The copper bars. Each is separated by a thin piece of mica. If there is any copper bridging the mic, the motor will be noisy and not run smooth. In this case, use an ice pick to scratch the mica so it's below the copper ba abou, never mind, just run the pick down the mica groove to keep the bars seperated. Put it all together and turn it on. You may have to tap the motor to get it going. Once it gets going let the motor run for about 15 minutes at high speed and 5 minutes at low speed, Good luck and take caution not to get shocked. I'm here so feel free to keep in touch. 909-630-3192. Ned

I lost the sealing-ring for my blender. How can I get a new one? solveig

Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

My waring blender quit working. There was no burnt smell, just quit running. Is it repeirable?

Hi Cindy -

Technically, everything is repairable. The real question is: How much are you willing to spend on repairing an old blender? You should bring it to an appliance repair shop for an estimate, because without actually seeing it - it is going to be anybody's guess as to what is wrong with it based on the info you've provided (it is often difficult to diagnose this stuff by description only as most times methodical testing is required) . It may be a simple, inexpensive fix - or it may "break the bank."

While waiting for your estimate, you should price a new blender. You may find there are some that have more features for less than you paid for the Waring model (or even less than the repair estimate). Once you have the price for repair and the price for a replacement, you can decide which path is best for you.

I hope this help & good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks!

Why my new oster blender blade rotates counterclockwise and not clockwise?

It is a function of gearing or motor orientation, and it makes no difference which way it rotates, as long as all of the attachments need the same rotation....

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers and Driver downloads as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

My blender won't power on, the lights don't turn on. I've had the blender for 1 year and have never had any problems with it. In the past month it would only work intermittently, and now it doesn't work...

sometimes something (food etc) gets "stuck" in the lock mechanism, preventing it from turning. unplug the blender and give the locking mechanism a cleaning with a bottle brush or rinsing it under very hot water. also the lock could be broken/chipped, also preventing it from turning.

i must admit that I broke my locking mechanism 5 years ago by not "seating" it correctly and forcing it. my hubby somehow removed! the locking mechanism but now it goes on - turns - as soon as I plug my blender in (because the stop/lock doesn't exist anymore). so I must be very careful to always have the lid on before I plug it in. but it's a braun blender and I love it. so i've kept it all this time.
