Interface error (by 3 users)

interface error appears on my tv screen when I turn the recorder on.

Mine only said "interface Error" once and now it doesn't even stay on when I plug it in. It makes a noise like it wants to turn on but nothing happens.

when plug it it reads "interface error" - after that no recognizes anything
