Question about Saeco Vienna Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Takes forever to warm up

After going being in Energy Saving mode or Off overnight and switching on with Menu button or On switch, it SelfTests OK, but sits in "warming up" mode for hours before eventually coming on. If I request steam or hot water the wand produces steam or hot water, but the display says it is still "warming up". I leave it on all the time, but I would like to use the energy saving mode. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you decalcifyd the machine?

If there is calcium in the boiler then it takes long time to warm up and if you much calcium in it then it never be warm.

I think you have to replace the boiler on that machine:-(

Have you checked the manual under Troubleshooting?
The only thought I have is this one;
Is the equipment in the energy saving mode (Automatic energy
saving mode)?
Press the [ENERGY SAVER] or [START] button on the control
panel to clear the mode. (It takes a while for the equipment
to become ready.)

Hi
Push the menu button. If it says warming up, then push it again. Then use the up, down arrows to scroll to the item you want to change. With the astrick(*) in front of the item, push the menu button again. Use the up, down arrows to change the item to what you want. With the astrick in front if the sub item, push the menu button to make it the selection you want. If you don't push the menu button it will remain the same as it was. Push the escape to exit.

Saeco Royal Professional is stuck on "Ventilate"

Hi
There are possibly 2 things that it could be.
1. Check that the tip of the wand is not plugged.
2. Your solenoid valve that controls the water is bad or stuck. That means a trip to the service center.

LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly purchased unit after switching it on, LG logo appears followed by the Power Saving Mode it all goes black on the screen.

Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9

it is most likely set to movie setting and energy saving mode. go to the menu with the remote and take it off of power saving mode then set your picture to medium warm setting.

Poor picture

Dynamic mode will give you a brighter picture. The energy saving mode runs the lamp at a more efficient level that saves energy at the cost of a slightly darker picture. Based upon your description, I'd guess that the lamp is nearing the end of its useful life. Plan on changing the lamp soon. When you do so, place the set back to standard mode and energy saving.

Machine won't power up after 3 days holiday!

this problem seems to be more electrical device failure as opposed to micro controller confusion. I would look for a failed power supply component, possibly an overheated resistor that has changed value and caused power loss. Look for a browned-out area on a circuit board.
