Question about Televison & Video
The beeping is generated by the power source's transformer when it's overstressed by a big short and it's going in and out of protected mode. It goes to a long beep after you unplug it because the defect is so large that the source is no longer shut down when the tv is shut down, so it remains active until the power stored in its filtering capacitors is completely used.
This is definitely a job for a repair shop and most likely the entire power source and god knows what else will have to be completely replaced. It will be expensive.
