It sounds like iron stains, install a iron filter on the inline hoses ,add a water nonprecipitating water conditioner.

I have a Kenmore series 600 washer which leaves white residue on laundry. I've tried using less detergent (only use liquid detergent) but it still happens. Using Tide detergent.

There are a lot of causes for that issue. Overloading, too much softener, bad drain pump, dirty drum, hard water are some of the more common ones.

Ultimate Care II top loader washing - rinse issues

New concentrated powdered detergent takes very warm water to break it down. As for most dark clothes use cold water. I have one of these top loaders and for my cold wash colored clothes I use a liquid detergent and have no problem.

Bosch maxx classic washing machine doesn't clean clothes

There are a lot of things to consider when trying to solve this problem. Obviously a front loader washes differently than a top loader. Top loaders tend to using a washing motion that is good for stains but wear out your clothes fast. Front loaders typically use less water and wash more gently, but in some ways still do better than top loaders. Anyway, think about any other variables that go into the laundry equation. Consider the distance the machine is from your water heater. This machine will use MUCH less water to fill than your old one, and, you know how when you turn a faucet on hot it takes a minute for the hot water to actually get there? It's the same way with your machine. If there's a sink next your washer, you should always turn on the hot water on the faucet until it gets hot right before you start the machine. The same goes for dishwashers. If there's not a sink close you can easily turn up the temperature for all hot water on your water heater, although that will use more energy.
Consider what detergent you're using. If you're using high efficiency detergent (like Tide he) maybe you should switch to your old brand. If you're using your old brand of detergent, try getting a high efficiency detergent.

Detergent dispenser tray not draining water after cycles

I have the same problem and sometimes water stays in the detergent tray as well. I don't have a solution other than to remove the whole tray and drain in the sink after each cycle.

My maytag neptune is not getting clothes clean

SPOT COULD BE DETERGENT OR SOFTNER IF YOU USE IT- TRY DISOLVING DETERGENT IN WARM WATER BEFORE ADDING IT TO THE MACHINE- THIS WILL TELL YOU IF IT IS THE FAULT.
INSUFFIENT WATER WILL ALSO CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. SO WILL OVERLOADING

After washing clothes, water stays in the detergent tray.

Best plan is probably to take the detergent tray right out of the machine, then take it to bits before washing it out with hot running water and a toothbrush.

The problem with these things is that the bit that blocks up is pretty well hidden until you dismantle the tray.

SIEMENS XLM 1600 (WXLM166AGB) MACHINE WILL NOT TAKE IN SOFTENER FROM DETERGENT TRAY

If water is being dispensed from both sides of the detergent tray, dismantle washing machine and remove top plate of the detergent tray and clean thoroughly. Water overflows from both sides during the rinse cycle to add softener to the rinse. On our washing machine it was blocked. During the service it was changed but can be washed out to solve problem.
