Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Razr Display I dropped my razr and the display won't work now. The keypad works and the phone itself functions. It seems to me that I read a post somewhere regarding the "cable" that runs from the phone to the display and the way to get to it and repair it. Is this something a regular girl could do? Clearly I don't want to take it to Alltel so they can tell me "it's broken and you'll need to buy a new phone, ma'am." Thanks for your help!!

Well , to be able to fix this type of problem ,you have to be very handy and have the right tools , since we are dealing with micro electronics, your gonna need first the MAGNIFYING LENS LAMP w/ STAND (unless you have perfect eye sight) and the jewelry type tools . Im sure that the people from ALLTEL should be able to cover for damage and repair if you have a contract. hope this helps AJ

2007 razr v3m can make calls but display screen

Hi,

problem the solved. What makes the screen of a phone white is when the screen of the phone is damaged or the flex of the phone has cut.

The flex of the phone is attached to the keypad of the phone. They are joint together.

The flex of the phone can get weak due to opening and closing the phone all the time.It might be the flex is weak and it needs to be replaced.

If when replaced and still no display, then it's definitely going to be the screen of the phone that will need to be replaced.

Would advice to prevent more damage on the phone, you can give it to a mobile repairer to check it for you if you can not.

Take care.

Black screen

The flex cable and/or your display is now defective. The MOT Razr has a very bad design flaw with its display, keypad, and charging mech. Try to get a warranty repair if you can.....

Best of luck....

Backlight display not working

Hey Dannes1956,

The Motorola V3m has a light sensor, which is visible just above the right soft key -- the key above the CLR button. This light sensor turns the backlight on when you press a key in the dark and disables the keypad backlight when you are in a well-lit area.

Your phone sounds like it's operating normally. I believe they disabled the option to activate or deactivate that feature.

Hope this helps,
cHiPz.

Motorola razr v3 keypad problem!!

Press all of the buttons and keys on the phone one by one with it powered off and the battery out. Make sure they all feel normal to the touch and when pressed. Check the buttons on either side of the main display carefully, as these tend to get stuck more than others.
