SOURCE: bulb replacement

NO,If you can get to the three phillips screws directly over the vent door then you do not have to take the unit down. Unplug the unit. Remove the top three screws over the center of the louvre and then carefully lower the vent louvre. (Lowering helps me get a better grip on the louvre assembly. Then you will slide the vent louvre assembly about 1/8" to the left and then it will pull straight back and out. In the center is an aluminum cover which has a phillips screw facing you. Remove this screw and the cover plate. The light bulb is directly to the left of the inside of the cover plate. You will see the metal tabs which hold it in place. Pull the bulb housing assembly straight out (to your right) as you face the microwave. Then you will locate your halogen 120V 20W bulb. I just received this from a fellow guest on fix it and I was able to fix my unit 10 mintes ago. Also another tip was to take the inside glass out when reinserting the bulb unit back in because it does get in the way. Good Luck

SOURCE: I have broken handle on the GE Spacemaker Model

The door handle can easily be replaced on most microwave ovens. You just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to replace the door handle:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3696942-microwave_oven_door_handle_replacement

The cost usually averages about $20 - $40. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided. However, price and configuration of your oven also depends upon the MODEL NUMBER. If the model number is correct, the part number(s) for a replacement door handle is WB15X10119 and WB15X10120. The door handle on this model has two pieces.

If you have any questions, please post back with your model number and let me know. I hope this helps you

Remove front panel ge spacemaker dryer

Here's the trick: The Spacemaker dryer is the same as many other GE dryers but is upside down!

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Flip the dryer upside down so the white panel is now on top and the unfinished steel panel is on the bottom.
3. Remove the 2 screws that connect the bottom, white panel from the back and lift up to remove.
4. Pull off the Settings and Fabric knobs on the front of the dryer. Take off the front control panel (remove the 2 screws).
5. Remove the 2 screws that attach the front panel (located behind the control panel you just removed). Hold the dryer drum by the top edge and pull the front panel away (note that the panel will be hooked to the rest of the dryer at the bottom corners). DO NOT PULL AWAY ENTIRELY!
6. Disconnect the wiring that is attached to the front panel (these come apart easily by hand but you might want to mark the wiring so you know where to connect it when reassembling).

The lint intake grate on the dryer is stuffed full of lint but i can't figure out how to remove it to clean the intake

We usually remove the entire front panel of the dryer but it is quite an undertaking. You might be just as happy to work with a small stiff bristle brush, piece of wire and a vacuum.

My dryer is saying to check filter but the fileter is clean, the vent hose in the back is clear and it is still not drying the clothes. The dryer is putting out heat, but the clothes are still wet after a...

There is a restriction in the dryer venting system. If the moisture is not removed from the dryer thru the moisture vent then the clothes will get hot but not dry. You will need to remove the vent hose at the back of the dryer and look inside the vent pipe and see if it is restricted with lint. You might need to reach up inside the vent with your hand and pull out the lint. Also some of the newer dryers have a fan assisted venting system and if the fan stops working that can cause this issue.

Roper Dryer won't spin.

From what I understand, it sounds like the idler "pulley" is broken. Upon receiving power to the motor, the belt inter-connects and ultimately drives and rotates the pulley and drum. The pulley is designed to guide and give "tension" to the belt when connected to enable the drum to "rotate and tumble".

The pulley is relatively simple to replace and can be purchased from your local appliance dealer for about $10 - $15. Depending on your "handy" skills, I would take the following steps to check your belt and pulley;

1. Disconnect the Dryer
2. Access the dryer cabinet/pulley by removing the front door (If your pull and clean fileter from top, remove 2 screws near filter. You may need a putty type knife to "slide and pop" the dryer open)

3. You may see the dryer belt already broken or disconnected, but take a look at the pulley and check for broken wheel, metal, chips/cracks, etc. Sometimes you may need to replace the pulley all together, but you may only need to replace the wheel part depending on the model of your dryer.

Hello Walky,
The vent cavity can be cleaned fairly easily without removing it by adding a section of flex tubing to your vacuum cleaner. Most hardware stores sell clear plastic tubing in various sizes so choose one that will fit inside the lint trap area ( normally ~ 1/2" or so and add that to your vac hose with duct tape or equivalent)... If you slash cut the end of it....you can better vacuum the grated surface inside that filter housing.

The buzzer module can be unhooked from inside the dryer. Try this website for location details
http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php Slide 3 Control Panel shows the wherabouts of the buzzer ( item 11 ) which you should be able to disable by removing or cutting the wire ( please do this with the power disconnected . Also , make sure that you cover any exposed wire ends with an electrical tape, wire nut or some insulator to prevent accidental shorts.

Hope this helps you..

GE Spacemaker stackable washer/dryer

You should go in through the front. Use a flashlight and look between the front panel and the top panel. You should see some clips there. Stick a flathead screwdriver into the clips to pop the top up and then remove the front. The front may be held in by screws, but since I don't know which model you have, look inside once you pop the top and see if there are screws. Then you should be able to remove the front panel and see the belt.
