Question about Sony Ericsson S500i Phone

Camera not working on Sony Ericsson s500i.

When I select the camera function, a warning message appears, stating that "another apllication is running. Close it and restart the camera." However, there are no applications running. I have followed advice to do a master reset, have updated the software via SEUS, but still no joy. Does anyone know what might be wrong and how this problem can be resolved? Please help!

"there are other applications still running"

For this problem i worked around by turning on the camera with the phone slider close. When it says slide the cover, do it and it generally works.

Open up the test menu by pressing right * left left * left * and from the service tests choose the camera,if the camera doesn't work here then it may have become dislodged. It can easyily be reattched to the board by opening up the casing

My sony ericsson s500i replacement screen is enlarged

Looking through the user guide and there is no reference to screen size, other than when playing games. http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/249/972/1216894082/S500i__UG_R3a_AE.pdf

Try resetting the phone (but keep the data and files)

From standby select > Menu > Settings > General Tab > Master Reset > Reset Settings (do not select Reset All or your content will all be deleted), then wiat for propmt and press Continue. You can also remove and reseat the battery afterwards as well.

I just bought the phone and when I try to use the camera, it says there's another app running, and to close it and then open the camera, but I have no other apps running

Restart your phone or perform a soft boot by removing the battery. If you still have the same problem, phone needs to be reflashed, go to a local repair shop for this..

Hope that'll help you..
