There two ways of solving this type of problem seen them below
please put off all for of power supply connected to the washer (SAFETY FIRST)
check the belt it may have come off or broke,if OK suspect you need new brushes in the motor. And this
If your washer is indeed a , than the not spinning is directly related to the unit not draining.
These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.
Here is the step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drain pump/filter to clean it.
To reach the filter and clean it...
1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of the washer.
2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where a wet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works as well.
3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out. Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.
4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight.
after all to test run the drain to see if hose short rinse spin cycle to see if drain ok
Let me know how you work out as comment .

It appears your lid switch has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

SOURCE: This is for a Whirlpool
I would suspect the water inlet valve as being the problem,if it drains the water and spins the lid switch is going to be good. The thing exclusive to rinse cycles is that they only fill with cold water, and that is what i suspect the problem being is that it's not filling with cold water on the rinse cycle because of a bad water inlet valve.

Testimonial: "This was the problem! The cold water valve in the crawl space was turned off."
