Question about Saeco VIA Venezia

1 Answer

I have the Via Veneza, I use Starbucks coffee pods and for past few months, water is coming out of the top of the filter. It doesnt' do this when I use ground coffee but ground coffee is messy and I prefer the pods but hate the water coming out of the top of the filter. It looks like the silver part that holds the pod does not fit properly in the porta filter unlike the ground filter, it sits securely in place. The pod filter does not fit securely and that might be why. THough I did try using the portafilter from our machine and work and it still did it. That one is the same and eventually I feel it will start doing the same.

Coming out in short spurt will not coffee cut up

there are a few things that can cause this;
1) You may need to clean the needle in the coffee exit where the coffee pod sits and gets pierced when the top is closed. You do this with a needle, be careful the point of the piercing nozzle is sharp and the needle point is as well.
2) There is also a needle in the cup holder under the pod that cuts the hole for the coffee stream, this needs to be cleaned with the needle.
3) The filter in the water tank may be plugged and needs to be cleaned.
4) The pump may be clogged with lime and scale.
5) The heater element may be scaled with lime.
6) Items #3 to 5), to fix this use DE-scalier, or vinegar solution, the pickling strength works better than household variety, but both are OK.
7) run the cycle for coffee, no pod, 3 times, this should clear the taste of the vinegar.

Hope this is your solution.

My Senseo Coffee Machine works fine on the one coffee duck. But, when I use the 2 cups duck, nothing - just a few dribbles. Then I can't open the top either - it appears to be suctioned closed.

The 2 pod strainer it clogged. If you hold it up to the light you should be able to see light coming through the other side. Try soaking it in hot water for a half hour and than blow it out the center of the pod strainer with one of the compressed air/ gas duster cans. If this doesnt work than try a needle.

Starbucks verisimo clogged and the spout is shooting off

If your machine is clogging, try running the water through the machine, Press the button that [looks like a little shower icon on the top left] first. May need to do it twice. Do that each time before you put a coffee pod in the Verisimo.

When i place pod into machine it doesnt have any water or coffee come through when i switch it on

A few initial steps:
  • Insure that the water reservoir is full, and that the machine is plugged in.
  • Check the water inlet tube for kinks.
  • Ensure that you are using the correct portafilter or insert for ESE pods.
Here is a link to the manual.

211333Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck
