Can be that there is some error files in the player that has made it hang. so the best option is to connect and see if it detects .Open use an anti-virus to clear off the all bad files .
Always reloadd only safe files to avoid these failures.
Reset the player and get it to work again.

To activate the shuffle feature:
1. Go into the Settings > Play Mode > Rand Folder.
2. Go back to the menu.
3. Turn off your player, (with the slider on the side, not the middle button.)
4. Turn it back on, and hold down the middle button. The screen will turn off.
5. Hold the middle button down again, and shuffle should work.

Sansa clip went dead

Slide the power button on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player up.

  • 2 Hold the power button on your Sansa in the up position for about 15 seconds. This action serves as a powering down of the Sansa device.
  • 3 Wait for your Sansa MP3 player to restart and let go of the power button. Actions taken during your last operation since powering down normally have been deleted and your player is now reset.

There could be a damage or corrupted file in the sansa clip. I suggest to reformat the player. To reformat the player. First turn off the player. Then slide the power switch down it will be showing red, now press and hold the center or the middle button on the player while connecting the player to the computer. It will be detected as a drive on your computer, now right click on it and choose FORMAT, make sure the file system is FAT32 then click start to continue formatting the player. Possible Hardware Problem?

Reformat the player and reload the songs. (warning: reformatting erases all songs on the player)

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.

If the reformatting causing any issues, you can always rebuild the original software from Dell's own website:

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
