I believe the code has to do with the fuser unit. You can try to reset by pressing the "Yellow" Clear botton then the numbers "1""0""7" then press and hold the "Red" Stop botton till the display changes. Then turn the Main Power switch Off and then back On. If it will not clear you have a problem with the fuser unit and will have to be repaired to clear the code.

The copier error code 551 is a fusing thermistor 1 error code.

It can mean:
1. The thermistor is not connected.
2. The thermistor connector is bad.

To reset this error try the code:
"Clear Mode"+107+"Clear/Stop" hold for 5s.
Turn ON and OFF the Main Switch.

If the problem persists you may need to contact your local service technician to take a look at your copier.

How to fix error 7a on a billcon d-551

I know this is an old post. But the Error 7A on a model D-551 is a "Gate Up" problem. The gate is what diverts the note to the reject pocket or the lower stacker area. 1) Check that the gate flap can be moved smoothly. The solenoid that electrically moves the gate flap is connected on the main control board (under the right cover) at CN14. Re-seat the plug cable. Also clean ALL the count sensors inside the machine. No encoder signal from the scanner motor
-Possible cause-
• Scanner motor connector defective
• Scanner motor defective
• MCU defective
• Scanner wire, timing belt, pulley out of position
• PSU defective
The screws of the pulley usually are cut that moves the scanner this causes that the car is crossed and that the sensor does not detect the home position. check and corect this defect.

hello Sir; You have to empty the waste toner bottle it located right hand side bottom, open the doorlook at "A" area you will see a big narrow plastic bottle pull out a black buckle slide out the bottle, dump the toner,the code will be disappear!
