You need to check to see if the voltage is coming to pull the contact in, if not then you will have to check for the voltage at the air handler/furnace on the main board for the voltage. If the voltage is at the contactor then the coil is bad and you need to purchase a new one. All the information is on the old one on the top or bottom. Hope this helps tim

My Goodman AC unit is not working when i turn on ac on with is cold but the fan not is not running why ? but the heat is working fine { fan is working with the heat

Generally the fan operates by the command from the thermostat. First thing I would try is put the fan/auto switch in the on position. If the fan comes on you have a problem with the thermostat or the green wire that goes to the G terminal on the thermostat sub base. I suspect he may not have programed the thermostat for the type of system you have or he doesn't have a jumper between the rc and rh terminal on the sub base. Sometimes the jumper is not required and the thermostat instructions must be read completely to get the answers. Goods luck hope this helps.

No the fan out side is for a condensing unit and compressor. The compressor should not run with the heat. I am almost positive that if this is not a heat pump that the compressor unit should not be running.

I have an goodman model # gsc130241ae ac unit outside it will not come on, no hum, fan doesn't run thermostat control is good swaped out with downstairs unit. Gas heat unit is in the attic, I don't use...

Does the blower indoors run and move air? if not it would mean that you don't have power to the furnace.
The 24 volt transformer in the furnace is used to power the thermostat and the control circuit on the A/C unit outdoors. Or you could have blown a fuse on the computer board in the furnace.
If this has helped please rate me, and If you need more help, give me some more info.
Thanks,
Paul

Heatpump A/C not working

First,Turn on the heat cycle (Not Emergency)and see if the outside unit come on,If not,and you don't have low voltage outside,Go to the inside unit and test the transformer,If you have low voltage from the transformer but not outside,It is the low voltage wires,If you don't have low voltage from the transformer,It's the transformer. If you have low voltage outside when in heat mode, but the unit won't come on,It's the contactor.Let me know if you need more help.

Please take time to rate this fixya

We put in a new thermastat and now the ac wont work. Is there a fuse?

R--redwire-power y-yellow wire -cool g-green---fan w-white -heat. If you turned it off &back on too fast, then you probably did blow the fuse on the outside unit or triped a breaker, check your fuse box ,or on the outside wall, theres a gray box called the disconnect box that sometime, house 2- fuses or a plain pull-out with no fuses.

AC breaker trips after 10 minutes

Whats the amp breaker? Is this for the inside unit or the outside condenser? If the inside and gas heat you have a bad fan motor, If its an electric furnace , the same, but if its the outside unit, the fan could be going bad, locking up and the compressor still runs and pulls high ampsand tripps breaker or the compressor is just pulling too many amps due to plugged coils with dirt , grass or weeds blocking airflow.(koolbreezes74401@yahoo.com)
