Remove off all the data/pictures from the memory card. Format the card and replace after keeping off the batttery from the camera for about 30 minutes..
Now shoot and check if the display comes back, if not there is an issue with a logic gate not switching back the data from memorry to the display unit.
This can be in the main board but might need assistance from panasonic.... even if identified the spare needs to be sourced.

Panasonic lumix dc vario can't download pictures onto computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

How do I transfer or import pictures from my camera to my pc using the usb connection not the memory card?

Hi,
The very first thing to do is you have the lumix driver in your computer. Then use the firewire to paired them. Some brands of digital camera give you difficulties to transfer data from mass memory ( camera memory and is not additional memory <mmc/sd>) to other media like computer. It is invisible when trying to import and all you can do is just enjoy the data / pictures by using play back features in your digital camera. So what you should do is just connect them as usual ( remove the memory card before commence this task) and seek the pictures you are looking for in digital camera. If nothing found there, you can not get the pictures imported then.

I have a Lumix 12 Mega Pixels camera and the memory card is locked. I need to know how to unlock it to retrieve the pictures. Please help

If you take out the sd card you should see a slide on the side of the card. Usually the card will indicated which position is locked or unlocked.

Panasonic DMC-LC1EB camera no longer shows picture when start up

It sounds like you have the review mode, which won't allow you to take pictures - change the mode using the dial at the top of the camera. Change the dial to Auto, "A", and you should be able to take pictures.

Select a lower number of pixels [ ] (0.3M

means it is easier to send pictures by e-mail

(2M EZ) 1600 × 1200 pixels

Panasonic Lumix camera

There should be a button on the camera to turn on the LCD screen so you can see whats going on. Here is a link to the manual. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCLZ1.PDF Look on page 10, button 6. After the camera is turned on, wait 20 seconds, then hit that button and see if the screen turns on. Hope that helps.
