I am attempting to connect to our wireless network, and am gretting the following message
.....
Error Contacting Update Services: An error message cannot be displayed because an option resourse assembly containing it cannot be found.

Unable to start application in correct state.

......

I don't know what program you're using, but usually when you get the message "An error message cannot be displayed because an optional resource assembly containing it cannot be found", it is because the program is using the .net compact framework but the file System_SR_ENU_wm.cab has not bee installed on the device yet. That .cab installs the resource file that is missing. Once it is installed on the device, you'll see a better error message than the one you're seeing now.

You may occasionally get an error message that reads "This connection has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources." It indicates that your PC is having a problem trying to access your network device to connect to the Internet. Very often, a bug that typically affects Windows XP Service Pack 2 causes this error message. This bug causes a loss of your network connectivity in workstations that use Microsoft's L2TP-based VPN (virtual private networking) client to connect to the NAT-based networks. Using the Personal computer to arrive into network requires turning on the device that would have a password to display the system windows. How to set up the Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter


Overview

If you connected to Xbox LIVE after October 28, 2009, a software update was installed on your Xbox 360 console to support the Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter. If the update was installed on your console, all you need to do is to configure the wireless settings. To learn how to do this, please see the following article:

If you have not connected to Xbox LIVE since October 28, 2009, you will need to use the installation disc included with your Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adaptor to install software on your Xbox 360 console.

To install the software for a Wireless N Networking Adapter

1. If an Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter is plugged in to your console, unplug it.

2. Insert the installation disc included with the Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adaptor into your Xbox 360 console.

3. Turn off the console.

4. Turn the console back on.

The software update should start automatically. If the update does not start automatically, the software might already be installed.

Note If you receive a mixed media error message, please see the section titled "Mixed media error message" below.
5. When you are prompted to install the software, select Yes, update now.

6. If a network cable is plugged in to the back of your console, unplug it.

7. Once the installation is complete, plug the Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adaptor into the USB port on the back of your console.

The Wireless Network Setup Wizard and the View Available Wireless Networks feature both rely on the Wireless Zero Configuration service to provide their functionality to Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Microsoft Windows XP Table PC Edition 2005. If the Wireless Zero Configuration service is not available, you receive an error message that directs you to this article. This behavior occurs for several reasons. Some computer and hardware manufacturers provide their own configuration software that replaces the Wireless Zero Configuration service that is provided in Windows. In that case, you must use the software that is provided by the manufacturer to configure your wireless network. If you want to use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard or the View Available Wireless Networks feature to configure your wireless device, see the documentation that came with your computer or with your wireless network card. Use this documentation to determine whether you can use the Wireless Zero Configuration service to configure your wireless network. Sometimes, you cannot use the Windows functionality.

I believe this may be a problem with your handheld device or handheld wireless service and not either of your broadband routers. Your particular PDA does not utilize the same wireless technology that your PCs and laptops do. Your PDA works with GSM,gprs & GPRS technologies. While laptops and PCs most commonly use 802.11a/b/g technologies. In summary, your PDA does not go to the Internet through your broadband routers. In fact, other than connectivity through bluetooth or USB, I doubt your PDA has any interaction with any devices connected to the broadband routers. Now, why can you not access certain services on your handheld? It may be that you are not connected to the right network with your service provider. It looks like this devices works on the Cingular network. There are 3 types of networks available. GSM, which is used primarily for voice traffic. gprs (note the lowercase), which is used for simple text messaging. And GPRS (note the uppercase), which handles all the other types of data transfer, including browsing the web and chatting. First, you may want to check with your service provider that you have an active plan that supports Internet surfing and chatting, such as GPRS (note the uppercase again). Second, once this has been confirmed, make sure the network indicators on the PDA show that you are connected to the GPRS (and not the GSM or gprs) network. Only when you are connected to the GPRS network, will you be able to utilize all the features of your PDA (voice calls, text messaging, and e-mail/web browsing). One way to force the PDA to get on the GPRS network is to just resset the wireless antenna. Second would be to reboot the device. If neither of those work, I would recommend contacting your service provider, as they will be able to help you trouble shoot PDA and network issues further.
