I want to turn off the pip, the square turned up in the right top corner a different channel then the big screen. I forget how to get it off the screen, sony wega 2003 how do i turn the pip off. i have tried but it keeps opening up new pip if that makes sense. It's been so long since i have even used that mode and do not remember how to turn it off . Please help me :)

It is in Picture in Picture (PiP) mode. The small picture is the last live channel. The big empty space is the current input but there's no signal

It sounds like someone has turned on the picture in picture option on your Television. The reason it is a black screen is because it is not setup on a station or other input in order for you to see anything.
Check your manual for how to turn off your PIP (Picture in Picture) option. Or just hit the PIP button on your remote control.

check and see if your tv has PIP (picture in Picture) which you turn on and off with the remote. If you do you have PIP turned on, but not set to any station.

Sounds like you have Picture in Picture enabled. It doesn't show when viewing DVD because the DVD is the PIP. Just turn PIP off, there should be a button for it on the remote.

This my be your PIP ( picture in picture). check yor menu to see if it is on.

This TV dose have PIP (Picture in Picture), Press the PIP button on the remote and see what happens. If fail then I would recommend to call Viewsonic.

Go to menu and Reset all Settings

check the agc circuit it is becomming defected.good luck.
