I have a Nikon digital camera and I usually upload all of my pictures onto my laptop then delete them off of my memory card. Now I am trying to print all of my pictures off of my computer. I try to upload them on to somehwere like walmart.com to print them from there but the system times out before they can get uploaded. Is there something I can buy or something I can do to transfer them back to my camera or my memory card? (My computer does not have a memory card slot, I plus my camera up to it thru the usd.)

Re: Nikon Camera/Acer Laptop
I'm assuming this means you have formatted the memory card. If this is the case you could purchase a memory card reader that connects to your PC via a USB port, and you should be able to copy and paste your images back to the memory card.

this is a very odd problem, I have the same camera and it works fine, your best bet is to buy a usb SD memory card dongle. they are about 14 dollars, this will solve your problem with the photos, but I don't know why your camera won't work properly with the cable., have you tried it with the cable on your friends computer?
If the camera uses a memory card things are simple ..just insert the camera with the usb cable and the pc will see the card like a removable device into my computer folder...from its folder you can actually copy /paste the picture in the computer .. if not..you need a driver ..(probably you have one that came on a cd with the camera) just install the driver and the computer will communicate with the camera after that either will see it into the my computer folder...or use a manager for picture to import from device ...use windows picture manager ..or the manager that usually came on the driver cd ..or just any other manager ... Coose the import from device feature ...select the pictures and the folder (follow instructions) and download them ...be careful cause some of them have option to delete the picture after download and you may not want this...
Make sure you have an SD memory card inserted and your camera is on. Press the Play button to view your images. Now press menu and scroll down to the copy feature. You have two options, copy from camera to memory card is on top, and from memory card to camera is on the bottom. Once you select your option, choose your pictures and copy.
Hey hapurves, Uploading your images should not remove the images from your memory card. If your images are no longer on your memory card the card has most likely been formatted. You could try connecting the memory card to your laptop with a card reader and under My Computer right click on the icon for your memory card and select open. Now you could try copying the images you want back on the memory card and pasting them into a folder on the memory card. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.
Go to a computer store there they should have a cheap/affordable usb cable or better a memory card reader where you can put your memory card into, it will connect to your computer/laptop and from there you should be able to upload pictures. and no you do not need to install anything at all. =) firstname.lastname@example.org
