Go to call menu>option menu>network>find netwerk avilable
for manual call pad>netwok setup>again menu popup>search setup>type>menual>close

it could be an issue with your sim card have you tried a different one? or you could try your sim in a different device and see if it has an issue.
are you having this issue everywhere? Have you tried removing the sim and putting it back in? Those phones will let you do a manual network selection. Tmobile is roaming partners with at&t so you should be able to connect to ether tower with no roaming fees.

Can I change my blackberry 8800 from gprs to EDGE signal

To change the state from GSM to GPRS/EDGE on the BlackBerry smartphone:
  1. Turn the wireless transceiver off and then on.
  2. If the network indicator has not changed to GPRS/EDGE, reset your BlackBerry smartphone.
  3. If the status is still GSM and not GPRS/EDGE, scan for available networks. To scan for available networks:
    1. On the Home screen, click Options.
    2. From the Options list, click Network.
    3. Change the Network Selection Mode option to Manual.
    4. Click Scan for Available Networks.
    5. Select an available network.

Where the signal strength icon is there is GSM displaying under it and i am unable to recieve emails or use my browser

If your Getting GSM on Handset you need to do Network Manual Scan
Follow these Steps:-
1) Click Menu Key
2) select Options or Settings Icon
3) Under that seclect Mobile Network
4) Under Mobile Network check Data service is switched "ON"
5) select Network Selection Mode as Manual
and Scan for Available Network,select your Network service Provider.
then Switch of the Mobile and remove the Battery and Simcard and Re-insert it.then check you will be able to receive mails and also Browse internet..

MC70 having roaming issues

If you're just speaking to the MC70, there is a setting on the CDMA (Sprint, Verizon), but I don't know if this works on the GSM version.

1) Got to: Start > phone
2) Dial ##DEBUG (##33284)
3) Select Talk
4) Select System
5) Select Details.

The rest should be clear.

How to increase signal strength of blackberry 8700g

When I lose signal strength, which doesn't take much with this device - It can sat in the same position and go from GSM to EDGE through no movement. A sure fire way is to turn the device off and then back on. This always works for me.

Another trick I have discovered is by switching networks - options/ mobile network and changing network selection mode from automatic to manual and allowing to select available networks which can take a minute or so choosing a selection and then going back in and changing back to autmatic.

It could be that roaming is disabled either on your phone or on your account.

You should contact t-mobile at 1-877-453-1304 and see if roaming is enabled on the phone.

hmmm. I had a similar problem when I tried to use an hiphone i32triband (the seller said it was a cect168 quadband)...does your wireless network support g3 quadband? or your phone's band? and if so, is your phone at the proper setting? go to settings on your phone and make sure it's at your network providers' band setting. You can also go to this supremely useful website, GSM roaming-US, and find your network provider's details there. u gota sweet phone!!!
