Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
Aquired ds lite from brother. he bought brand new ds lite due to broken hinge. It sat without use for a long while til he gave it to me. i notice off bat that upon turning it on bottom screen will flash on then system would turn off. put on charger...charging lite would come on as normal but when i tryd again same thing. so i bought new battery from nintendo and again same...charged it again same...what is wrong with it and is it fixable?!
As Bob (HowlingMad) said, the Ds and Ds Lite will turn off immediately after being turned on if the connection to the top screen is broken.
Check the connections between the screen and Ds, if they look damaged then try replacing the ribbon cable for the top screen (or you may have to replace the whole screen - i'm not sure if it is built together on the Ds Lite). If the connections appear fine then it may be that due to the movement the connector has come out of it's socket/plug (also like Bob said), this is easily fixable if this is the case and would require you to take the casing off your Ds and plug it back in.
Hope this helps
