If you have access to the Internet using a LAN cable, then download the Netgear wireless USB adapter to install the driver. After downloading you can remove the LAN cable.
You can also save the driver from your laptop to an USB memory stick and then install the driver in your computer with the USB memory stick.

Can not locate net work adapter

Possible cause:

The hard drive contains all the necessary drivers that makes the computer function and that includes Internet connection. When you installed the operating system and all other software it does not mean you installed the driver for the motherboard which contains the drivers for the LAN.

Solution:

Run the drivers CD that came with the motherboard. If you don't have the CD. contact the PC manufacturer for the driver CD. Otherwise, you can purchase an add on NIC(network interface card).

I have installed the TG123g drivers - does not work

Have a look at device manager and see if you have any ? X or ! look under network adapters - click on the + and see if you have the adapter listed - check if it has any X or ! or ? The windows 7 driver is available from this website http://www.thomsonbroadbandpartner.com/dsl-modems-gateways/products/product-detail.php?id=166 I would suggest you download these drivers on a working PC and copy onto the machine wityhout internet - using a CD or a USB thumbdrive and install those drivers

XP Cannot detect Intex RTL 8139D LAN card

This is a realtek based card so youe may want to try these drivers

Available Here

Make sure you get the ones for your operating system

extract them to a directory that you can remember and find easily.

eg. c:\mynic

Then select the card from your hardware list and tell it to update drivers. Dont let it wander the internet tell it directly where to find them.
It should then either do it for you with no fuss or offer you a choice of hardware and driver versions.
You would select the latest one and continue.

Hope this helps out

Network connection problem

Ok zannet_08, i am not sure, from what you wrote, but it sounds like you may have two problems.

To get drivers for your wireless Linksys adapter, we will need the model number, can you identify what that is? Once you get the model number, you will get a writable CD or USB drive, find a computer with internet access, go to www.linksys.com click downloads at the very top center of the page. Locate your device, then select the driver; if you have Vista Operating System on your computer choose that specific driver, otherwise click what ever else is available.

When you see the download window banner watch were the device driver is being downloaded to, and or write down the file name so you can find it, and "burn" it to CD or drag it to your USB drive.

Take the driver file back to your computer, let us know if you need help installing the device driver, also what OS you are running.

Once you get the device driver installed and reboot, windows will prompt you that there is a wireless network available, or you will need to double click on the network icon in the lower right of your desktop, read what it says, is there a wireless network available?
