It catches network when their is strong signal but in areas that are not having strong signals it says no network coverage

Keep in mind, poor reception is not something that your service provider will fix just because you want them to. It must be justifiably cost effective for them to put up new towers, which will ultimately be criticized by cities, home owners associations, etc. Most users think there is nothing they can do to improve their cell phone reception by themselves. This is most certainly untrue, and the following will explain what you can do to ensure great mobile coverage without waiting for a new tower to magically appear.

  1. 1Battery. Your cell phone uses a lot more power when connecting a call than when it is on standby. Often, your battery can be strong enough to attempt a call, but not strong enough to find a signal. If you find you are having signal problems, try to keep your battery charged to 2 bars or higher.   2. 2Landscape. Buildings and other large structures are very unfriendly to cell phone signal. Rather than making calls from deep inside buildings try moving outside or to a window to place your call. If you are having reception problems on the street try walking to the nearest intersection as they typically have better coverage. Cellular band radio waves do not effectively penetrate earth: if you are underground you will likely receive no signal.
  3. 3Install a cellular repeater. If you are having cell problems in one location, such as your home or office, then try installing a cellular repeater. Cell phone repeaters pick up low cell signal with an antenna, boost the signal and broadcast it over the coverage area. They typically need at least 2 bars of signal where the antenna is placed (usually outside or on the roof) but can substantially improve cell reception, as well as battery life and data download speeds. Some repeaters might need technical knowledge such as the frequency of your carrier, and only work for one service provider. For a less technical approach that improves reception on all carriers, use a dual-band cell phone repeater.
  4. 4Upgrade your antenna. A few cell phone manufacturers make a "Hi-gain" antenna for their handsets, which may be changed in-store or by the user at home. Although these won’t improve signal as much (or at all) as a repeater these antennas are relatively inexpensive and you are not confined to one location.
  5. 5Change networks. Most networks operate independently of one another, using their own frequencies and constructing their own cell phone towers. Chances are if the signal is bad with one network you can improve by switching. Most cellular networks these days allow you to transfer your phone number when you change provider.
  6. 6Hold your phone correctly. Mobile phone antennas are designed to project a signal outward, perpendicular to the long axis of the antenna. As such, mobile phones seek signals in a donut-esque shape around the antenna. Normally, when a mobile is held upright, this is not a problem. However, if you are holding your phone in a strange way, such as on its side or upside down, you will hinder the operation of the antenna. Hold your phone upright to guarantee that your phone can "see" your carrier signal.
  7. 7Host a cell site. This may take time, but where cell phone reception is inadequate property owners can host small cell sites on their properties for major wireless carriers. 3rd parties with Wireless Revenue Programs allow you to register your property to be eligible. Then when there is carrier interest in the area you'll be on the short list of places they choose from and will have optimal coverage. They may even pay your phone bill.

I have already 3g network on my area..but sometimes it is not load 3g net...only 2G net were loaded...how to get full 3G?


Most likely, when it only loads 2G, you are in an area where there is not a strong enough signal. There is not much you can do about it, it depends on the coverage from your carrier.

Are they the same models?
The phone's capability to sustain a stable network coverage may vary even in model types.
While at your home,remove the phone's battery and simcard and fit them again.
Note how the phone's network signal registers.
It may start very high and then drop drasticaly to very low or no signal at all or sustain a constant signal reception.
If the reception's good in other areas,then your home area's network coverage may not be that good.

I ve a nokia 2730 classic model ...m using airtel service... when i set umts mode there is no network coverage


This probable if your Network does not have 3G/UMTS coverage in that specific area.

I would set your phone so that it will automatically select 2G or 3G network services (e.g. often referred to as Dual-mode) so that if 3G/UMTS is available and has the best coverage/signal, it will automatically be selected. Setting UMTS coverage only would be very restrictive in many area as the signal is usually weaker (especially in Buildings).

Signal has a wide range field or area in diagnosing a network problem,it depends the situation on what happen to the phone,weather it was watered damage,drop off the ground or suddenly lost network.

Let's start with the Software Problem

* check your network settings if set to DUAL mode,it means you've 2G or 3G signal,if this mode is far away from your area or out of coverage,you will experience signal dropping, If you are not using 3G signal,better switch to GSM mode and it will stick the signal along your area.

For Hardware Problem

* Base on source and latest issues about signal problem is by replacing 2n2 capacitor,before reheating or removing some main parts like PA (Power Amplifier) and other IC,better focus on this capacitors,Here is a illustration and have a look were it is located

* For no access,change the upper part.
* For no network coverage, change the lower part.

Samsung B209 network Problem does not show the network and dose not connect the call

It means that there is no network coverage in your area. In most cases, your operator or service provider is the best source of assistance with issues regarding network coverage.

When you are in outdoors, move your position to find a good signal network coverage area. When you are in indoors ( like building, basement and subway station), change your position by small spaces, or move towards a window.

If other mobile phones with the same operator or service provider as yours does not have a signaltoo, then it is conclusive that there is no network coverage.

If other mobile phones with the same operator or service provider as yours does have a signal, then you need to upgrade your cell phones firmware. Hello.. look.. here is the problem. i have a samsung s5230 star since the begining of this year. since two weeks ago my phone only shows limited service or no service. however sometimes i have signal .....


Your phone can't seem to locate signal on your are that's why it says No service. There;s nothing wrong with the phone, it's more on the signal coverage of your netwrok provider. There are some areaas that have strong signals and some areas that have weak signals. You may also want to contact your network provider about it.

Set your network to the default one. It might just be the area you are in. There might be something interfering with the signal. If you are in an office or other type of building they might have put in a field on the roof so you cant get signal. try walking around

Wireless routers all use the same frequencies either in the 2.4gHz range for 802.11b, g, or n, and 5.4gHz for 802.11a networks. These frequencies both have a VERY low penetration (it's ability to go through objects) the quarter wavelength for a 2.4gHz signal is approx. half an inch. So that means anything that size will act as an antenna and absorb some of your signal.

Chances are you floors are made of concrete and this makes almost an impenetrable barrier for wireless. Top this off with the fact that the 2.4gHz spectrum is so over saturated with noise from other devices, and the fact that there are truly on 3 NON-overlapping channels that can be used, and that 802.11n will use 2 radios on 2 non-overlapping frequencies, and you now have a pretty good idea of why this setup will no work between floors.

I used to engineer and implement wireless networks for college campuses and large offices, and even in the best of conditions we would typically set AP's on 100ft centers. Wireless networks have to wait on the slowest connection to finish with transmission before they can go on servicing other connections. So one slow connection on the edge of your coverage range could actually have every adverse affect on everyone attached to that AP.

Some food for thought. I recommed a second AP hardwared to the LAN on the second floor at the very least, and I strongly recommend staying away from 802.11n unless you know there are no other wireless LANs in the area.

i have been having exactly the same problem lately, i know the providers have been having problems with the prepaid network as you couldnt even register a new sim card for a while there. A person from three told me they had problems with the sms side of things too. I am having network signal problems in strong network areas, also calls dropping. I believe it is whatever they are doing to upgrade fiving grief. THey just say update software, thats it
