65 inch Mitsubishi replacement screen? (WS-65311)

I am in need of a replacement screen for my TV. Unfortunately Mitsubishi no longer offers the part. (Part Number 491P146010) The TV is in perfect working order other than the screen having some burn, hence the reason I was looking to replace it. I really like the TV and have no desire to replace it. Is there anywhere I can still get a screen for it?

Thanks Abrsvcs. Any suggestions on who might have those kind of parts or where I might find a listing for them?

Well unfortunately, after much searching I am stuck with a burned screen. Mitsubishi no longer offers the part and I have searched high and low for one but have come up empty handed. If anyone knows where ai can find one, I would be very grateful.

There are only 2 options that I can think of.
1) Try a Mitsubishi parts distributor, they may have one still in stock.
2) call a few service shops that work on large TVs and see if they have one or have a scrap unit that you can steal one from.

Mitsubishi hdtv 1080 ws-a65 screen broke need replacement

there are 2 functionality screens and 1 screen protector (on some)
front screen = lenticular
back screen = fresnel
very front screen = screen protector (you can replace w plexiglass)

the fresnel and lenticular are very specific.. contact your local repair center for a new one. you can cut them from old screens but have to do just right (fresnel is a lens type - pic will be distorted if off center)

maybe find a old junker tv to pull screens from because new ones are about $100 a piece

Image outside of bounds of television.

There should be a format button on the remote you can hit. This should cycle thru all the "formats" that the set can do. 16x9, 4x3, wide mode, Full mode, stretched mode, etc.. Let me know if that helps you.. Happy holidays... Jay
