Question about Apple iPod touch
Error OxE8000001 means USB connection fault. I remember seeing this happening with my iphone when I connected via the USB hub. Try to connect it directly to the Macbook. If that doesn't work try a different port .If problem persists, then turn off the ipod while its still connected to the macbook. Then put it in recovery mode(Please see attached video).
Then try restoring the ipod software to an earlier version to see if does the trick.
PS: ALL THE CONTENTS of the Ipod will be lost when you do a software restore. So make sure you have all your stuff backed up before you try this.
