Some MP3 players will only display video files with these extensions avi, and wmv.
Check your player's specification for the video file formats that ir uses.
If you dowloaded an incompatible video file, there are video converter programs on the Internet that convert video files to a video format that suits your player.

Magnavox NB500MG1F Blu Ray Player: I've been having trouble getting the SD card slot to read the videos I put onto the SD card. I've tried everything from converting all the video files to AVCHD file types...

It is obvious to me that the player can't read the video off an SD drive. In my experience that card slot is for installing updated firmware not video material.

I converted the video files to avi but i am getting an error message that says invalid file format. What format do I need to use?

You can convert your AVI files to one of the files supported by your player by using the free software download at:

http://www.formatoz.com/

According to what I have read this player will support MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, and WAV audio formats and SMV video format

Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Im trying to use divx but come up with this error.......This file contains a track in the Dolby AC3 Audio (code ''8192'') format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this audio format in order...

Try a web search on your error messages - you will be able to fix a lot of things just by doing that. You can get this video codec at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GPL_MPEG-1_2_DirectShow_Decoder_Filter.htm .
It doesn't hurt anything to install all of the common video codecs. Most of them can read each other.

Coby mp610 2g mtv unknown format

Hey try to get the video file you are converting to .mtv to convert to .mov first.I had the same problems until I tried it that way.Someone else somewhere says mpg is a good format that the converter will read well and convert properly.I never tried it though. However I find that .avi files will give you problems. This is because .avi is a container not a format.

Also remember Youtube videos download as flv files and if you use MediaCoder like I do,to convert from flv to .avi you will have problems because the actual format will be Xvid and the container .avi.

fFor the sys err problem..visit the Coby USA website ...there is a firmware fix there. The actual link is on this site in another Coby mp 610 question.

I hope this works...let us know

"unrecognized file format"

When videos are spliced, multiple audio and video tracks are needed. Kodak EasyShare digital cameras can handle only one video and one audio track at a time. Use the Apple QuickTime player to view spliced videos.
